Is what the accussed Hairdresser alledgedly sent to his alledged victim that he met on Grindr having alledgedly pressured him for unprotected sex and promising a relationship.
Wow. If that's true then we need to invent new words to describe how fucked up that is. LOL is supposed to be for cat photos and stuff, what did he expect back - a sad face emoji? |

Yeah there are a bunch of stories like that. Like one guy getting tied up in bdsm gear then fucked and while being fucked the guy saying "You're my possie bitch now".. apparantly in a room full of people watching on.
Crazy world out there. |

"I've not heard of this story but if they had sex with someone knowing they had HIV and the person they had sex with was unaware then they will be seeing some prison time"
The trial is being covered by the BBC, i do believe in innocent until proven guilty but skipping bail, moving to the other end of the country and using fake name aren't good idicators.
I really can't understand what is mentally wrong with someone who would do that? |

Well I don't imagine you will understand as they don't think like most rational people? |

But i can understand other peoples perspective. I can understand anger if i was infected. I can even sort of understand wanting other people to share the pain. I can't understand going through with it / taking pleasure in doing it to someone.
I mean the guy created the evidence that will probably convict him, he's not bothered about jail time or he's incredibly dumb. |

True, but amongst society there are many twisted irrational folk who are disconnected from the general public.
The vast majority of folk live protected lives and never meet these people. Sadly some of us do and encounter such individuals. |

The lack of empathy is a psychopath (i think) but the complete disregard for getting caught is... totally impulsive behaviour ... an impulsive, horny psychopath then? |

I'd say he'll get 8 years.

Would any amount of years change someone like that? Won't he just go straight back to it again? |

I suppose 20 years ago a sentence like that would have been a death sentence but they have stronger drugs now that keep the virus dormant. Regarding going back outside to do it again, he's more likely to carry on doing it in jail. From what I've read in the news he ain't likely to stop. |

Someone who is infected and taking their medication may pose very little risk to anyone statistically, as their viral load would be suppressed. Partial reporting of just the horror element, without a fuller medical explanation, seems like poor quality news. Unless the person is not taking medication or the partner is known to have become infected etc. |

"Shocking story, just goes to show the risks involved if you agree to bareback with strangers"
It does but a major part of the trial is that he was alledegedly very pushy and the alledged victims were very reluctant to bareback. If the behaviour described is an accurate reflection of reality then they basically didn't consent in some cases. |

Agreed, if found guilty I would imagine a prison sentence is in order. |

He probably considers jail as an opportunity to spread the word further. |
