I don’t take any. Just try and have a diet that includes all the necessary. Although not sure if it works differently for women?

Am currently ill but that’s due to over working shifts and not having enough chill time

Are you associating not being ill with supplements?

It isn’t more likely that regular exercise, a regulated diet and an appreciation for rest days is the main factor?

Do you drink the protein shake as you walk across the car park upon leaving th gym, from one of those shaker cups so everyone knows you have in fact actually been to the gym

Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Eat a proper diet that includes meat, fish, dairy and fruit and veg.

Drop the supplements cos they are a waste of money and are making you ill, your body is trying to process masses of stuff it doesn't need, your kidneys, liver and intestines must be working overtime.

Drink a probiotic daily and eat well, that's all you have to do...

anyone that thinks taking all the supplements is making them feel on top of the world is suffering a placebo effect.

I just feel sorry for guys who are suffering from an undiagnosed body dysmorphia. They need to wake up. Realise the answer to a happy life doesn't lie at the bottom of a (pill) bottle. Your body is fine. Now go out and live your life.

This is true, but I take part in endurance events.

I need supplements prior, during and after as not always possible to eat the quality & quantity required in actual food source

I eat well mostly, with balance and taste. I train occasionally, maybe a couple of times a month. I run about 20km a week, if I get time between work and family. The only supplements I have are a pint or two of good beer a couple of nights a week, and a moderately high level of stress. I don't have time to be ill!

Eat well, be clean, train sensibly.

The Animal vitamin pack is pretty amazing.

When I go on it, my skin clears up, i have more energy, think clearer, recover quicker. Sure I am probably missing some vitamins from my diet and could do it naturally, but honestly, thats a bit of a pain.

As for diet.

I eat carbs, refined sugars, complex carbs, simple carbs, but all clean carbs, with protein.

Its the age old diet that has been getting people buff since time beyond.

I have a treat or so every day, this will be a man made product like chocolate or a packet of crisps, but I cut these down to minimum cause they have high levels of fat/carbs in the same meal and that causes you to store fat.

I'm not cutting now though, when I go to cut I don't take anything extra, I just do more cardio.

As long as you are reading published research papers in professional journals, then you can be more sure that what you are buying and consuming is based upon sound science - where results would typically be for many participants. Thus potentially not being true for any one of them individually or based upon anecdotes.

Vitamin supplements are generally just money that gets excreted, albeit as waste. But an individual may benefit from some, if deficient due to their diet/sun exposure levels and lifestyle.

The exercise supplements are where there's been a huge growth in sales, so I'd recommend looking at research for each of them individually. And preferably not manufacturer 'research', just that which is in peer reviewed professional journals.

Nothing wrong with taking supplements as long as your diet is good.

I currently take:

Multi vitamin

Creatine

BCAA

Omega

Whey protein

"The Animal vitamin pack is pretty amazing.

I'm not cutting now though, when I go to cut I don't take anything extra, I just do more cardio."

Which one? Pak,flex,stak?

"Which one? Pak,flex,stak?"

I use the pak.

Regardless of what people say above, trying to calculate what extra vitamins/minerals you need when you are exercising hard is just really complicated. All you can find out is carbs.

If you take the pak, then you are no longer locked into a "healthy" diet, because its the only way to gurantee you get x,y,z...

You can eat like me, alpen in morning, spuds/rice and meat for dinner. Different meat every day, turkey/chicken/beef. Snacking on fruit and veg like apple/banana/carrot/oranges..

I'd consider my diet "clean" and not a "health" diet, as I just eat normal food.

"If you want to save money on gym membership. Simply cover one wall of your lounge in mirrors and invite 15 other men to come and stand in front of it .

My rooms not big enough

Just get one really big guy to come and stand around and make you feel like you're not trying hard enough.

Do I take it your not a fan of gyms clem lol

I just feel sorry for guys who are suffering from an undiagnosed body dysmorphia. They need to wake up. Realise the answer to a happy life doesn't lie at the bottom of a (pill) bottle. Your body is fine. Now go out and live your life.

Clem that’s a bit of a generalisation 3 years ago I was unhealthy always I’ll and looked like shit , now I have a spring in my step feel better about myself and I am very rarely Ill so it works for me

Of course it was. This is fab, and I very rarely agree with anything i write on here."
