Over the years i've lost count of the number of BEST live bands i've seen.
But THE BEST has to be Led Zeppelin.
I'm of an age where i've seen them at least 7 or 8 times and live they just blow every other band out of the water. |

Too many to list, but was at the first gig of the 'How to win friends and influence people' tour of Terrorvision. Place went nuts in about 2 seconds, buzzed all night. Faith No More at Phoenix festival were fantastic. Iron Maiden can always put on a good show. |

Of all the bands I've seen in venues as small as the back room of a pub (Madness) to full blown stadium gigs up until this summer the cast iron banker vote from me would have been Muse...
...then I saw Green Day in Hyde Park!! |

Seen Terrovision live many times. Always great shows. Also Therapy? Put on great shows. FNM i thought were shocking live though. |

The Icarus Line are the best live band i've seen although they're sadly no more.
LCD Soundsystem are probably the best i've seen that are still a going concern.
Daft Punk, Iggy Pop, Nick Cave..
all amazing too.

I was at that phoenix festival in '93 that FNM headlined. They were great. Best set of that entire festival though was sheep on drugs, they were furious, hilarious, and made me dance myself silly!

Back in the day AC/DC when Bon Scott was on vocal and UFO were at their best with a very young Michael Schenker on guitar,,,,,
None of the so called bigger bands could touch them live.....
These days from what I've seen on televised festival footage Muse take some beating ,,,,
I cant fain enthusiasm for band like queen who although talented rely heavily on stage effects and lighting ....
As always I'm right about this so no arguing..... |

Not at all, my wife says she’s always right too, so I kinda get that mentality of those who presume they’re never wrong. |

"Foo Fighters
Chas n Dave
Oasis
Stone Roses
I noticed no one mentioned Red Hot Chili Peppers, they’ll be one for the worst list. "
Saw the Red hot chilli peppers at slane castle in 2000, they where supporting U2, Coldplay also played, not bad. |

Stereophonics hands down. Phenomenal live.
I was lucky enough to see them in Wrexham, that was a special moment, watching a Welsh band in my Welsh hometown the day after Wales got through to the semi finals beating Belgium.
The atmosphere was electric. |

I agree with Stereophonics being brilliant live. I've seen them many times and love them and am lucky enough to be going to see them early next year too. Their show is amazing and they belt out hit after hit and Kelly Jones is soooo sexy. At a show at Cardiff City Stadium some plonkers were climbing on the roof of a t shirt booth, Kelly stopped the show and said "get off the f*****g roof" ... sexiest words ever
Muse, Kasabian and Coldplay are also brilliant live too and last year i was lucky enough to see Kasabian (at my beloved King Power Stadium just after we had won the Prem....perfect), Stereophoncs and Coldplay in an 8 day period .... bliss |

I agree. Kelly Jone's voice is like chocolate...
I had goosebumps literally when they played Dakota. The stadium just erupted.
That is my all time favourite, it reminds me of my son as it's his favourite, was on loop when he was living at home. He's in uni now and I miss him. Can't play Dakota without it making me cry (proper saddo)
Luckily when I went both sons were with me, which made the night extra special. |

Of bands currently around I'd have to say Frank Turner snd the sleeping Souls are consistently brilliant and I've seen them a lot of times!
At their peak Jane's Addiction and The Pixies are the 2 that stand put but I've also seen both bands when they are cleatly purely their for the money.
And having seen them around 100 times I guess I should also mention The Wonder Stuff |

Saw ELO last year-amazing
The eagles a few years ago were brilliant too
And just to show my age/shit taste in music, a random Mystique gig at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2002 was unbelievably brilliant!
Take That (sorry) gigs over the years have been consistently well put together
Status Quo in Brighton about 20 years ago was awesome |

Slayer in Jeff Hanneman and Dave Lombardo days. No gimmicks, just huge songs and pure stage prescence.
Sorry Garry Holt and Paul Bostaph, its still good, but just not quite the same for me now... |

"It has to be Red Hot Chili Peppers for me "
I was the biggest chili peppers fan a long time ago,80s 90s but i cant listen to them now,i saw them in 95 at a small venue in manchester and they were fantastic, then 10 years later at manchester arena and it was shit, some bands should stick to small gigs |

O2 just 4 rows back on the ground level and they wheeled him in past me and under the stage ...
He proved all he needed was his voice."
Have to agree, saw Prince on first night of O2 concerts, amazing , cant explain how brilliant it was |

"The Jam live pure energy fire and skill if you was lucky enough to see them live no further explanation needed "
Them and The Clash are the two bands I always name when asked who I wish I had seen but didn't - saw The Style Council twice and Weller solo countless times but regret not having seen The Jam when I could |

I haven't seen them since the 90's but in the big outdoor concert, no one I've ever seen has come anywhere near U2.
Thin Lizzy were brilliant too, way back. |

You will love the show, I have seen Roger Waters many times, and have tickets for SEC Hydro when he comes to Scotland in June next year.
Saw him in June this year in Denver on his "Them and Us" tour and it was a great show, not too impressed with his line up but im sure it will grow on me.
Then again nothing will ever beat his "In the Flesh" tour with Doyle Bramhall II on guitar as well as his female backing singers. |
