I've always had a thing for ancient ruins, and i don't mean the mother-in-law (homage to the Les Dawson school of comedy). Be it stone age sites,castles, old houses etc and every time i visit one i've always thought 'wouldn't it be cool to be able to nip back in time to it's hayday' just for a short while.
I'd especially love to visit Stonehenge to see what it was really like. To see how it was really built and used. |

I've always thought it would be nice to go back to the time of the dinosaurs. No one ever seems to want to go back to that time but as a big dinosaur fan as a kid I've always fancied it. All we see are fossils in rocks. Seeing the real thing would be something awe inspiring I imagine. |

Howard, sadly your's was a one way trip to the late Cretaceous period.
I know that you insisted that Moschops capensis was a herbivore, but the way you screamed when those peg-like teeth were chomping through you suggests that scientists were wrong on this.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

Following a recent visit to Thermae Bath Spa i'd love to bring the Romans who were responsible for building the original baths forward to the present to see what they make of the new one. |

I suppose I could go back to Hastings in 1066 and say ''Duck Harold''.
Or go back to 1944 on the 15th of December and say to Glenn Miller, ''don't get on that plane. or go back to 3rd of feb 1959 when I was only 5 and say the same thing to Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens ''Don't get on that plane.
Or go back to Whitechapel east London on the 3rd of April 1888 and shoot jack the ripper

Guessing you're all fans of time travel films and tv? I've been rewatching timeless on Netflix and it's interesting the way the historian keeps pointing out that eg saving jfk is a great thing to want to do but could have unforeseen consequences that are even worse than the original history - same seen repeatedly on quantum leap.
Be more interesting to go into the future, I'd like to see if my daughter will have a happy successful future.
But yea, could be fun to go back to Tudor times (as a wealthy person) or swinging sixties or free love 70's... I'd love to go to San Francisco late 60's early 70's height of the hippy movement. |

Time travel could be soo dangerous tho!! Imagine if you did this and travelled to the future, something in her time line caused her to have a life with a negative outcome - would you try to fix this one thing if you knew what it was and risk causing damage to the future time stream or let her future be? It is what it is!
Bearing in mind the saying time can be re-written once you know what it is.
My god this subject soo interesting yet soo confusing with what if’s etc

Do we have to go back in time *
I'd much rather go forward in time, doesn't have to be to far just 5 or 10 years, alot will change in that time.
*As if the time machine hasn't been invented will I be able to use it to get back? |

Reminds me of a short story about time travel. A man sent a camera back in time to record the building of Stonehenge. He wanted to know what prompted it's build. Cue camera being worshipped and Stonehenge being built as a tribute!
