Mine is..
Well, I am.a divorcee, had a very long, and (bitter on her part) although it was a breakdown of marriage after 10 years. She financial screwed me in the divorce and used our son as a weapon. I fought for access and got it (not as much as I wished for), Wednesday evenings for tea and every other weekend, Fri tea time, return him Sunday evening.
He is 12 and still says I am his best buddy, we communicate on all levels. And do so much during our limited time together..
So my wish is that I can keep that bond and although I know he will turn into "Harry Enfield's Kevin, sooner or later" , that does not phase me at all. I was a Kevin once.
My God, I don't want to wish my life away (51 yesterday), but I can't wait to buy him his first car when he is 17, pay for his insurance, driving lessons and (always his fuel and car repairs)
Love him so much. My only child and heir. The one he asks for non judgemental advice from as he gets older.
To get guidance from my life experience.. l have taken numerous d r u * s, had countless girlfriends, fell in love, fucked em and forgot em.
Being employed in a well paid job. Got made redundant, been unemployed, two divorces, had fuck all Xmas presents when I was a kid because my parents were skint..
The list goes on.
A little bit of genuine live from my offspring is all that I want...
And you know what.. I know I will get it, regardless of his mothers attempts to thwart it..
Sorry for the long post, but sometimes a few words are not sufficient. Feck the lottery win, money does not buy happiness in the long term.
Happiness is an intangible feeling, it can be given or taken away in a breath.
