I just read the best body positive quote:

"You deserve the space your body takes up in the world"

And I've never heard something so nice. It was worth a share. Good evening all

A xx

I don't think that's the spirit of the quote. I think it means everyone is deserving of their place on earth.

True. But then at least they're only a small waste of space.

I doubt that takes up rather less space in the world than it does in the minds of those who feel it threatens their personal sense of superiority.

Do you really?

Are you speaking as somebody with a large ego, a large need to be noticed or a large personal sense of superiority... or all of those?

If so, how much space does that take up?

I'm just mildly eye rolling at your need to react at anything with a mere whiff of a suggestion that being large is okay. Despite Nicecouple nailing how daft your comment was.

I was ridiculing the flaw of the logic in the quote.

I'm eye rolling at your need to jump over anything that suggests some people may not find obesity attractive.

It was an obviously daft comment, but not everyone has to ooh and ah over each glib yet profound thought placed on a sex forum

Not anything. I like jumping at yours only. And I only bothered when you couldn't let it lie. That made me laugh. We're similar in that way.

It's not about how much space you take up, it's about knowing that you as a person matter and deserve to be here no matter how anyone else makes you feel.

In a modern age rife with body shaming and the resultant dysmorphia we could do with a bit more of that.

No thanks. I'm happy tapping away on this one.

On reflection the sentiment seems like even more bollocks than I thought it was yesterday. Plenty of people don't deserve the space they take up in the world.
