Guys, bugger off, this is a question about changes in vaginal secretions
Ladies, as I'm getting older, approaching the menopause (I'm on hrt), i find my natural flora being affected such as by latex condoms and some sanitary products. IE changes to secretions from nice smelling, looking, tasting to errm not so nice. The latest one was using a new panty liner for a couple of days. No panty liner and it has corrected itself.
Do you find yourself more sensitive? Do you know what to avoid? |

I've had a hysterectomy a few months ago & it's not really made a massive difference but when I was using sanitary products, I found the scented ones caused all sorts of havoc, like BV!
I was advised by the Dr to stop using any scented products and it's never made an appearance again.
I just use Simple shower gel nowadays |

Absolutely have noticed a shift down there, I can be a little paranoid at times and have to go off to the loo for a sniff test!
I do find latex condoms, being overly fucked hard can set it off, like a BV. I found applying the Balance Activ gel after sex can help prevent irritation and restores the harmony.

Apart from the dryness, this is me but am changing to latex free condoms to see if there's a positive difference. |

I have over the past few years, i get thrush really easy and find that i get really dry during sex as well.
I usually find a bath with nothing but salt in helps.
I've had to stop having bubble baths aswell cause of it |

Ah thank you for this thread.
Glad to I'm not alone!
I seem to get reactions to somethings but not always.
I'm thinking it's probably hormone related at certain times of the month as my balance changes.
Bit of a pain as I can never predict when it will happen, used a lube last week & brought out an eczema type rash, where you really don't want to have a rash!
But used it today & it was fine?

That's worth knowing, especially as I'm allergic to metronizadole. |

We had to change to latex free. Some women definitely become more sensitive to things that previously were no problem.
We're very poorly designed when it comes down to it. |

Sometimes, for me, it's smelly and sometimes not. When i smell it, i get paranoid. Alot of men here comment on threads and state the smell is poor hygiene. God if only they knew how their derogatory remarks affect us when we cannot help it. I stay away from men during this time. |

I'm sensitive to latex topically but never got itchy internally so didn't even think about it until my last session, when i connected the change in flora.
Silly me, i should have assumed |

Coconut oil is supposed to be good for sorting ph etc out, you need to make a shape that will fit and it helps if it's been frozen first, easier to insert... |

I totally get what you say and this is why I won't meet that often now
It has nothing to do with poor hygiene
If anything it's from being too clean
I use to use a hell of a lot of fem fresh products and the dr told me not to as that was the cause of it
So I stopped and still got it
Then the clinic said it could be because of different sexual partners
I went a year with not having sex because I was ill and I still got it regular
So god knows why I still got it
But some men are so uneducated when it comes to us ladies |

I use this as well unless it's quite bad. |
