i need to buy 2 relatively cheap, under £50 maybe, digital cameras. They need to be pretty simple, point and shoot type ones, neither of us using them will have a clue how to do anything complicated so anything more sophisticated will be a waste..just pretty basic ones that we can take learn how to use quickly and easily...i've obviously looked online but as i have no idea what im even looking at half the time a bit of advice from someone who does would be very welcome ..thanks for any help!

In all honesty, if you're spending £50. You might as well use a decent camera phone instead.

i know theyre usually the best option, use mine all the time, but for this particular trip an actual camera will be more practical..

Look for special offers and think £100 rather than £50!!!

Or.. Spend £50 on cheapo action cams instead.

You'll be able to use them under water and have hours of recording capability

£25 from eBay gets you something that'll take terrible stills but HD video, will be wifi and phone controllable by an app and will be practically indestructible
