I have to take 2 betablockers today for my CT scan, I've already took the 1st one and it already feels like I'm having a panic attack not looking forward to taking the other one later |

I know what you mean, I took them for a short time back in the early 90's and at times it felt like I was following myself around, a really weird feeling.

If you are having this type of reaction...
Give your Dr a call...
Get a friend to accompany you...
Do not drive (! ?)
Beta blockers are supposed to calm...
Good luck...
My CT scan was inconclusive... Apparently 2 cells isnt enough to scan...

I have to take Beta-Blockers every day. I have no problems at all, except my imaginary friend keeps telling me that his mates are off down the pub and asking why can't he go!
But really, I do take one every day and also have to take and Alfa-Blocker! I am not sure if they are conflicting or giving me issues (problems for those from the "Terms that irritate you" thread!)
Have to stop taking one to see the results and if I improve, although the Doc says all seems to be OK! |

Hope everything goes well PP. Its not nice but it's all in your head, just switch off for a while.
Think of a really boring game of cricket, or try naming as many Marvel comic super heroes as you can, it usually calms me down when I'm becoming over excited too soon. |

"PP don't worry about it at all, there is nothing scary with it, a CT scan is just a huge do nut taking X rays."
I know the problem is I hope I don't start playing tents |

I need to ask because I am nosey, why have they given you betablockers to sit under a huge do nut for a few minutes?
heart scan "
I'm in shock - they think a single guy on a swingers site has a heart to scan ?????
On a serious note PP hope it all goes well. Just think of a silly tune and go thru it in your mind while in the scanner or that you're finally getting the chance to butt rape the NHS by being ppushed thru that hole lol. |
