I left my entire life behind and moved from Essex to just outside Birmingham for "love"
I happened to have fallen for someone pretty dangerous and was lucky to come out 11 years later alive (little did I know)

Oh what a horrendous thing to happen! Totally agree with the independence angle though, and I think at my age and in my circumstances (I have children) I would take things slowly, but to me distance really isn't a hurdle that can't be overcome if there is a will on both sides x |

I wouldn't do long distance. I'm too selfish.
Plus i have young children, and i'd never uproot them and take them away from their father/grandparents whilst they are so young, my youngest son has issues that mean routine and familiarity are very, very important.
It would just lead to inevitable heartache so i just wouldn't go there. Not fair on the fella either.
If i was single, then yes, i'd be more open to the idea, but not now i have children, no.

Means I need to broaden my search on tinder then how will I pic from so much choice

I sent a lovely message to someone from the thread and it was read but not even acknowledged or replied to. I know that happens with the rest of the site if it’s just a one liner to a random but if it’s a well thought out message specific to this thread I thought there’d be a little more respect than to just ignore it.
