Start by realising that it will probably take time to get a meet if you're a single man. Then search for profiles within your designated area, decide which ones you want to contact, ensure they want what you want and vice versa then send a message. Personally we don't care if it's a similar version of the same message but some do. Avoid profiles that offer little but ask much and don't message on the off chance that they'll bend their rules it'll only add to your frustration.
Also attending organised socials is a good way of meeting people as is going to clubs. Interacting on the forum in a positive and friendly way can help too.
