Essentially harmless. Spoke very well indeed in Parliament when discussing drug rehabilitation. A bit up his own arse but no more so than any number of right-leaning commentators and decidedly less of a twat than someone like Toby Young. |

Basically, this. He's a bit of a knob, but his redeeming feature is that he actually gives a shit. |

But his very much a "do as I say, not as I do" type of character. Talked against home ownership for investment in London a little while ago but when challenged about his properties he didn't want to talk about that! |

I like him. He gives a shit, he may come across like a dick but in a world where public figures are increasingly sanitised and dull I like that he says what he thinks even though I don't always agree with him |

"He says some very sensible things and some really stupid things. A bit like all of us really. I think underneath his immature need for attention he might be alright."
Do you watch him on youtube (the trews)?

A charge which would apply to a lot of MPs currently in office who don't like talking about home ownership when they own properties for the rental market and who then fillibuster out bills pertaining to the standards applied to landlords.
Now Brand as far as I know doesn't have the power to talk out bills put forward. |
