A world of my own

Watching Grand Designs and it's a shed!

It got me thinking about the 2big woodsheds in my garden. I have visions of fairy lights, hot tub and swing..

What would your dream shed be like?

That sounds great. I think my son is eyeing one up to be a studio at the moment. Need to really look at the cost to have power run to them.

An ex next door neighbour of mine converted his to a man cave. All of the above really, plus a phoneline and a beer fridge

Oh god.....yes I love this thread!

Books, books, and vast amount of wool, buttons, comfy chair with footstool...more books...music on

Kettle, fridge, tea , milk

And most importantly a 'DO NOT DISTURB' sign of the door

That or a kinky little hideaway

didn't cost us a great deal but it was a mates rates thing, couple of lights and a few sockets, just an electric heater but it works well...makes a great addition to a house, effectively it's an extra room really. i reckon it would be worth the cost to get it done

My shed would be big enough to store all the work crap my son stores in my back room. Then I could have my back room however I wanted it.

Plans for my two "sheds", brick built with tiled roofs, is to convert them into a garden pied-à-terre complete with mini kitchen, log burner and huge TV, maybe even a bed!

Do. You need planning permission if you have electricity installed, as with conservatories? (I don't work in planning but heard this from a neighbor).

Depends on the size I think. Also it's not classed as a permanent structure

A family member has a large shepherds hut including running water , loo and log burner.
