I never really understood it as a term until last night.
Got dressed up, got my train, no him. Stopped answering his messages.
He completely disappeared on me.
I'm bemused as to what kind of kick this person got from treating people like that?
Still, I made up for it in the end.

I'd love to know what happens to 'timewasters' that are reported. Do they actually end up being removed for repeated offences, or is it just some token gesture feature offered by the site to appease the angst of the person who's time has been wasted? |

We once had a unicorn do it to us. She then messaged us a couple of days later saying she had go out of the country at short notice. Wtaf!
She also asked if we'd like to arrange another meet. Short answer no. |

We've had it twice and both times it's been couples. Reported them and there profiles are still active. We've been lucky so far with single guys they've always shown up. |

Happened to me once but it was no big deal as it was a coffee meet in costa an hour before my shift at work. I enjoyed a lovely cuppa and a cake on my own 
Didn't get to report the muppet as he deleted his profile by the time I logged in. |

Not fully sure why people time waste. We've had this with couples, single males and single females. We've reported but they're still there so obviously the reporting function is a token gesture system.
We were chatting to two different single females. When we realised you could search photos on Google, they just had photos off other sites. So we just went straight to delete and block. |

I think some people just want to chat, why? I'm assuming they are lonely.
But we would never go to the trouble of organising a baby sitter, paying said baby sitter, getting our best gear on(or off) just to not turn up. The mind boggles. |

The fantasists are somewhat annoying - it has happened to me with someone who appeared to be very genuine and I generally have a good bullshit-o-meter.
I sometimes think that maybe they've lied so much that when it comes to meeting, they bail rather than have to face you and keep it up in person. |

it's the lattter.we got offerd 100 bucks to meet a guy so we reported it and advised to block.I didint block to see what would happen and turns out by the looks of it its just left to mods to block for you to give the illusion that something is being done by admin when In fact it's just mods blocking for you so the issue is just passed on to the next person to be offerd money.kept the msg so we can see the guy is still active in his profile. |
