I think sexuality is outdated. Same as religion now. Just be who you want to be, all the label givers can do one.
That said look at the animal kingdom, the females generally hang out together grooming and licking each other, so do the males. They only usually come together to breed.

Men may feel more accepting in themselves to 'admit' they are bi rather than being gay (which is often considered much 'worse').
Being non-straight is depicted much more in tv shows (than say 20 years ago) so possibly considered more acceptable and people may feel happier to admit they are not entirely straight.
Perhaps it's genetic and something in the environment is making more people non-straight. |

i think people are born, go through puberty and then get the urge to fuck, coz that will keep the race going.
probably these urges could be projected onto anyone. your social circumstances will likely affect who you find attractive. it's a little more complicated than this but sexual fantasy is indeed based on a fantasy of what someone else is like, sometimes the reality of people can make us unattracted to them...and here it gets more complicated because certain traits in a person you don't like might make you avoid others with those traits OR might make you seek them out so you can 'fix' yourself and get over stuff. in the same way you might seek out those you admire instead.
i don't believe we find things attractive naturally, i do believe certain things are sexualised by society or ourselves and these are the things that will turn us on.
if you look at who is promoted as sexually attractive, or socially attractive, and see who is found either of these things, they are usually the same. look at top fabbed and look at what is promoted as sexually ok to find attractive, based not only on looks but words and how these people are described objectively, and you will see their similar. and that's just here but online everywhere you will find similar results. |
