Weird questions but it doesn't matter if they're not answered?
Why do some people (inc me) sneeze if you look at the sun or bright light?
What's your weird question? |

The photic sneeze reflex (also known as photoptarmosis, Autosomal Dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst Syndrome (ACHOO)[1] and colloquially sun sneezing) is a condition that causes variable difficulty to control sneezing in response to numerous stimuli, such as looking at bright lights or periocular (surrounding the eyeball) injection. The condition affects 18-35% of the population in the United States,[2] but its exact mechanism of action is not well understood |

Why do publishers print the words: "This page is intentionally left blank," in instruction manuals and pamphlets et al? For one it's a blatant lie. By putting that there it bloody isn't anymore. |

Neurotransmitters and hormones.
When i stopped breastfeeding my youngest i got upset she didn't seem to miss it. It would've been the levels of oxytocin reducing. |

We can suck too, without being taught. We're clever little buggers. Mind you pretty dependent whereas four legged animals can walk within a short time of birth. |

Your heart has a tiny brain like organ within it which is connected to your brain
This is why sometimes people who have heart transplants can often take on new hobbies/activities that the donor enjoyed x |

they're not neuron cells, they are cells that function like them though but all they do is work with the ANS so this means they do react off stress so yeah that makes sense that stress would cause you heart break.

well, it's your chronological age divided by your actual age times by 100. 100 is always the average iq for people but this goes up every year...yeah confusing already. |

lol, times something by 100 is easy enough.
i can't remember how they do it, but always 100 is the base for the average IQ. even if IQs go up every year because we're getting more intelligent when it comes to thinking critically.
i'm gonna google this coz i won't sleep now if i don't figure out what is going on. |

"ok new question.
if intelligence is going up and down in populations, how do they keep the average score of IQ at 100?

Surely if it's going up and down at equal levels across different populations then the average remains unchanged, that makes me sound dead smart lol |

but the base/standard is always the national average. pretty sure it is.
but i don't understand how they can always keep it to this number, and i don't think it's coz averagely the lowest and highest scores are equally panning this out.

that makes sense but i don't think it's the reality. pretty sure (on average) IQ has been rising.so the average of 100 don't make sense.
omg there will be some perfectly simple logical answer to this too, i kow it. |

do one online, they're not quite as accurate as mensa but mensa ones cost money and you have to go to somewhere where you are watched while doing it.

if intelligence is going up and down in populations, how do they keep the average score of IQ at 100?
someone maths knowledgeable might know this.
Average? I thought it was just the base score. Anyone having a higher score has a high IQ and vice versa. No?
but the base/standard is always the national average. pretty sure it is.
but i don't understand how they can always keep it to this number, and i don't think it's coz averagely the lowest and highest scores are equally panning this out.
I only want to know mine, is that really too much to ask, can someone help me please, the torture of living a life not knowing noooooo
do one online, they're not quite as accurate as mensa but mensa ones cost money and you have to go to somewhere where you are watched while doing it.
hmm wonder if the times by 100thing is what enables the average iq to remain at 100?
Stop punishing yourself lol, it's too late for arithmetic
Off to do my test.....
good luck. don't bother doing the facebook ones, my friend always gets a high iq result off them and he is thick.
Whoop whoop, IQ OF 134, top 1%, would pm you screenshot if I could lol
erm top 1% is 160, is the test now asking for money coz they con you like that, make you feel clever enough to spend money on whatever they are selling. that's how mensa works also i believe.
Uhh, and I though I was a bloody undiscovered genius for 10 mins, does offer me the chance to brain train now, tch as if I need to with that score lol"
yeah ignore it, it's a bot trying to lure you into staying on it;s site forever. i'm gonna go do a test now. |

I would only rely on mensa style tests. You can probably buy books for this. I did at 15 and took 2 tests, each one timed for an hour each. I finished one in 40 minutes and didn't finish the other. It was very much like an exam.
I finished in top two percent. Now i might be lucky to stay in top 10% |

"Why when you yawn do others around you also feel compelled to yawn???? "
There is a science there. Contagious yawning, is a result of mirror neurons in the brain, we mimic behaviour of others, to trigger empathy.
In primitive times our ancestors would of used their mirror neurons as a defence mechanism, by mimicking behaviours of the enemy we would be less likely to become a threat. Again, triggering empathy.
We do it now when we meet people, and want to be liked. You will mirror a behaviour of those around you in some way shape or form even if you don't think you do. |
