Love comes from the subconscious. We form attachments with people to determine our survival. So love is nothing but a survival instinct.
Attachment theory is based around the bonds between carers and their children. There are many types of attachment, and it's these attachments that can shape children's futures, it determines future relationships and emotional regulation because attachments determine what pathways the neurons in the brain take.
It's all very interesting.
So no, love isn't that mushy feeling. It's not hearts and romance. At it's core it's a mechanism used for survival. |
