I fear getting old and being stuck in a home with no control, just waiting for death and hoping the end will not be painful and messy with the only way out being to wait for my body to give up and let me go.

And on a lighter note haha

Heights is a big one for me, it normally catches me when I'm in a shop with 2 floors and they have clear railings. I must look like such an idiot when there's something I want on the shelving near the edge and I'm keeping as far away from it as I can while easing my way round to what I want

Death doesn't scare me but just *existing* - rather than living - when I get old does. Whether through poverty, loneliness, and/or decreased mobility, poor health. The thought of my world shrinking because of all that terrifies me.

The fact that you sometimes think about death and it really shakes you until you just forget about it.

You just go about your daily life which should be ultimately rende_ed meaningless by this huge lingering inevitable uncertainty.

But we just don't. We all agree to forget about the void.

Death doesn't scare me. THAT scares me.

"Dwarfs

Bridges over water

Sharks "

You just don't think things through, you can out swim most dwarfs, therefore they make good shark decoys, and if you have a bridge the shark can't get you anyway. So no need to fear sharks unless you don't have a bridge or a dwarf handy

Seen my Nan go through it so it frightens me.

Irrational fear...Big crowds. I suffer from social anxiety. I can't go to places where I know there will be big crowds. If I get caught in one, I have to leave that space immediately.

Rational fear... something bad happening to my children. That's what I'm most afraid of.

Surely being eaten by a shark is scary to everyone because common sense.

.....

Heights and wild animals

Death itself is not scary, but how might be.

"Irrational fears or rational?

Mine

Being eaten by a shark.

Do you consider that irrational or rational?

Both

As I do alot of sea swimming but I can't remember anyone being eaten by a shark in the Solent.

But never say never!"

Bull sharks can and do live in fresh water they have been known to swim 30 or 40 miles up rivers. There is a lake in Australia which was flooded when the river burst due to heavy rain its banks bull sharks were stranded when the water subsided and now live and breed in the freshwater lake.

I am no Sir Galahad.

Merely commenting on a forum post as to how I see it, can't see how I am putting words into anyone's mouth, just giving my perspective on the post.

I do not frequent the chat rooms, have never met that person nor yourself, please look at my post in context before jumping to conclusions.

I have no reason to defend anyone on here, why should I , we are all adults, posting in an open forum, everyone is responsible for their own comments posted here. If they were being rude and obnoxious then it will come out, and thank you for pointing out the truth in what they had posted here and elsewhere, I just don't like how you did it, misrepresenting me in the process.

You are free to post as you please...and I will always defend your right and the right of others to do so.

I have had holidays in the past for doing just that.

As for misrepresenting you I quoted your post in full..where is the misrepresentation there?

You are at liberty to hold and express what ever opinions you like just like every one else here...

And if you don't like how I or anyone else posts their opinions then ... tough...we all have the same freedom of expression despite so many here telling others what they should do or how they should behave because they simply want dab that is in their particular image of what fab should be...
