I can't be the only one here with this problem.
Regardless to the type / brand of shoes I buy you can pretty much guarantee I've worn through the part that's under the ball of the foot to the extent it splits after about 3 months.
This goes for both my work shoes and non work shoes.
Anyone else get this problem or should I just face facts and just go full hobbit?

"how much walking do you do ?"
For work it's not that much, it's a small building and a desk job with about 5 trips to the other end of building a day that take about 30 seconds to walk each way.
Even outside of work I keep my shoes off as much as possible.
Regarding the cost I've bought shoes anywhere between £15 and £80 but still last about the same length of time. |

"Pall Iv got the exact same problem it's mainly because I'm a professional driver and my foot were always splits in the same place "
Drive atleast 2 hrs a day but it's mostly motorway so cruise control gets used within 10 mins of leaving the house. |

Do your toes curve up on your shoes after a couple of weeks? If so it's your gait and how you walk. A good Physiotherapist might be able to give you insoles to correct it.

unfortunately there is very little difference between £15 and £80 shoes. Buy a goodyear welted shoes, expensive, but worth every penny.
Also, since they're wearing in the same spot, your walking style/posture might be a problem |
