If you look up at the moon tonight, that bright star you see near it isn't a star in fact, it's our very own Jupiter.

Happy gazing.

I'm in Manchester, we don't get clear skies.

The only stars out in Manchester tonight where at Old Trafford, great result Wishy.

....and if you look through a good pair of binoculars or a small telescope you can see Jupiter's moons as well.

By Jove you are right, my telescope is almost trained in on there. Love to see Saturn's rings as well.

On a more serious note, have you seen Uranus in a full moon?

Spurs fought hard, I thought they might nick a point at 1-0 but they just seemed to give up. Level with City will do though.

I have bright street lights in my direct line of vision that makes it impossible to train my telescope on Jupiter until it's way high in the night sky, but I'll be in bed by then.
