"Scary stuff really, what's your views?"
If you mean it's pretty scary that a muppet like Trump is in charge of Nuclear weapons; well yes.
If the theory of nuclear deterrence holds true – and it is the only argument the supporters of WMD have got – then we should all be cheering the North Korean bomb. The logic of nuclear deterrence is that it is much better that every state has nuclear weapons, because then we can all deter each other.
In the 1950s the USA dropped 635,000 tonnes of bombs on North Korea including 35,000 tonnes of napalm. The US killed an estimated 20% of the North Korean population (yes you read that correct) and people wonder why they are an American-hating state with an obsession with developing powerful weapons systems to ensure national survival?
Don't believe anything in the western press because it probably isn't true. |

First person to mention the Korean war and also as another note the US was involved with the seperation of Korea, since they were removing the imperial Japanese rule. Nothing is black and white despite what the papers say
But yes nuclear bombs now have exponentially more energy, destructive force as compared to the orginal H bomb. |

Context!.
Yes just after ww2 after we'd just battled Nazi ideology there was a war against another repressive ideology called communism, in this war we bombed Communists who were killing millions of Koreans for the sake of communism, they were backed by Communists China which is WHY Korea is divided on the parallel as the US couldn't and didn't want to carry on fighting into China |
