Had that moment when you did something and you stop and think you've already done that before
Or had that conversation with someone already
Deja vu
It's happened a few times to me and I'm thinking wtf and even say something to the person and they think I'm crazy
Am I going crazy

I have the same conversation/s with my Dad each day as I look after him.
It's impossible to interupt him.
He's ill but not mentally however I'm starting to think something 'upstairs' is starting to go wonky.
It's like ground dog day.
It happens with me maybe once a week but with him it's all day every day. |

This happened to me before on app. They messaged something then eventually got rid of the profile. Made a new one and messaged the exact same thing again . Then I blocked them |

Jo, I think you're going crazy. Do you remember sending me all your nekkid pics, you did it a few times but I bet you don't even remember doing it.
Better send them over again, just to see if it jogs your memory |

Don't fall asleep! but it's the momentary delay in the lobal cortex And the processing of the images to the brain. It's the delay between the left and right side of the brain one processing it before the other giving the "I have seen this or experienced this before" |

When I get it I can't help but feel I've dreamt it. I take them as signs I'm on the right path or need to change. Depends on the 'mood' of the déjà vu

A 2004 review claimed that approximately two-thirds of the population have had déjà vu experiences.[13] Other studies confirm that déjà vu is a common experience in healthy individuals, with between 31% and 96% of individuals reporting it. Déjà vu experiences that are unusually prolonged or frequent, or in association with other symptoms such as hallucinations, may be an indicator of neurological or psychiatric illness.

Studies also claim there are two types of déjà vu. Pathological and non pathological. Pathological is associated with mental health illnesses like epilepsy. Non pathological is considered normal and healthy

The thing is, they explain déjà vu as memory based ie. We've already been there and done it. Most of my déjà vu experiences have been in totally new situations. I'll give you an example.
So I went for a job interview, a few years back, for a chef's position. As I was being shown round the kitchen I had a strong experience of déjà vu. Now I've worked in a fair few kitchens but I had never set foot in the building before let alone it's kitchen. So I don't see how it can be memory based. Plus I remember the déjà vu as being dreams I'd had days sometimes weeks before.

I like the way, in the movie The Matrix, déjà vu is referred to as a 'glitch'.
And there's a greate passage in the the book Catch 22 about déjà vu. I'll see if I can find it.

That's very interesting
Mine was when on holiday ...never been in the shop I went to but felt I had
And another was years ago and a teacher asked me to do something and I'm sure it had happened before |

"For a few precarious seconds, the chaplain tingled with a weird, occult sensation of having experienced the identical situation before in some prior time or existence. He endeavoured to trap and nourish the impression in order to predict, and perhaps even control, what incident would occur next, but the afflatus melted away unproductively, as he had known beforehand it would. Déjà vu. The subtle recurring confusion between illusion and reality that was characteristic of paramnesia fascinated the chaplain, and he knew a number of things about it. He knew, for example, that it was called paramnesia and he was interested as well in such corollary optical phenomena as jamais vu, never seen, and presque vu, almost seen. There were terrifying, sudden moments when objects, concepts and even people that the chaplain had lived with almost all his life inexplicably took on an unfamiliar and irregular aspect that he had never seen before and which made them seem totally strange: jamais vu. And there were other moments when he almost saw absolute truth in brilliant flashes of clarity that almost came to him: presque vu. The episode of the naked man in the tree at Snowden's funeral mystified him thoroughly. It was not déjà vu, for at the time he had experienced no sensation of ever having seen a naked man in a tree at Snowden's funeral before. It was not jamais vu, since the apparition was not of someone, or something, familiar appearing to him in an unfamiliar guise. And it was certainly not presque vu, for the chaplain did see him…
Had the naked man in the tree at Snowden's funeral been merely a hallucination? Or had it been a true revelation? (20.52-53)"
Found it!

Quotes (allegedly) about déjà vu.
What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after. Ecclesiastes 1:9-11
