"People voted for the Nazis and listen to Coldplay, you can't trust people.
Top band in the world and British so I'd vote for them. "
Maybe based on touring/album sales etc but for fear of sounding like an old twat (at 39!) I think there's so much gash in the charts these days me singing Whitney on karaoke would prob reach top 10!
Saw Foo Fighters at Wrigley Field, Chicago in 2015 and they were outrageously good. Wish I'd seen them live at Glastonbury this year. |

Monkey Wrench
Learn to Fly
Everlong
The Pretender
I get it... you were like 6 when some of those were released so chances are you were still dancing around to 5ive!
Personal choice I guess. Really liked the early Coldplay stuff but prob turned after they released XYZ (I think it was called that anyway!). Have to stick my fingers in my ears when that Paradise song comes on. |

Dave Grohl. TBH, most of their current stuff won't be high in the charts because Sean Paul or David Guetta isn't collaborating! If you aren't into Rock Music then they won't do it for you and you won't hear them on Capital FM or Radio 1 often. I'll listen to most stuff going back as far as the 60's but very picky about what recent stuff I listen to. It'd be mainly Indie these days I guess.
Oh and if you're a fan of the Spiderman films "My Hero" by the FF was a big song on one of the soundtracks. |

30 something? Grohl must be about 50 now! He'll be chuffed with that compliment!
Like I said personal choice and we're 13 years apart in age which is massive in today's terms regards musical taste. I was brought up on 80's pop & Rock and 90's Indie, Dance & R&B. Most bars I go in these days is purely chosen on musical taste and if every 3rd song that comes on is Rihanna I tend to walk straight out! |

Foo Fighters (and in particular Dave Grohl - Ex Nirvana) have had plenty of impact on the music world and I'm sure a quick visit to Wikipedia will tell you all you need to know. I'm not disputing Coldplay haven't made their mark but, in my opinion (which isn't shared by everyone) they are around during a time where you struggle to tell one artist from another as most of them sound the same!(maybe my old age again ).
Time for bed for little old me but I'll leave on a positive note... I will actually agree with you about Prince being legendary! Have a good one!! |

"Fix you"
It's the only one I like other than one of tear first ever sings.
Might be the scientist or something 'come up to see you, tell you I'm sorry' or something.
It's a bit depressing for me other than the two songs I've mentioned |

"I think Coldplay must be better live than on record ....
Surely they must be.... ? "
They are fantastic live, they do a great show but then i also love their recorded music too.
Good job we all like different music cus otherwise the world would be very boring ... the same if we all liked the same kind of sex and sexual partners or the same food and drink or the same clothes or books etc. |

Funniest post I've seen in a long time. Foo Fighters have no impact on music - do me a favour.
I've got all of the Coldplay records. Each one sounds more commercial than the last one.
And to say you have not heard of Dave Grohl ? He was the drummer of arguably one of the most important grunge bands of all time. |
