Fave childhood smell.

That white glue with a little spatula in he lid, smelled like fake almonds.
My sister stinking of petrol (she worked in a petrol station in the days of green shield stamps).
Chanel No.5 the only duty free my dad used to bring home from all his business trips.
Fish and chip shops when they used lard to fry.
2 stroke engine oil.
The permanent stench of cigarettes everywhere, my dad was a 40 a day man and we had nicotine stained everything.

I hate the smell of fag smoke but love the smell of an ancient pub that has about a century worth of 'bines and Navy Cut smoked into the walls, ceilings and chairs.
I love the smell of tobacco too, just not when its lit. |

Fellow tarmac and petrol fan here *waves*
When I opened up this thread I was so reassured to see other petrol and tarmac obsessives too - thought for all these years it was just me |

The smell of a local ironmongers shop. Always takes me back to going in with my grandad and my dad. It sadly closed last month...a very sad day, it was a family business into it's 3rd generation |

School dinners. and just for old time sake, as a mischievous young lad, a stink bomb in a sealed container, taking the lid of now and then, to let the smell escape, He he what in the fuck have you been eating, as I gloat at their facial expressions, as I pretend to be revolted at the passing smell. |
