For the tuck shop.
If you wet a child again and you got 10p what would you buy from the sweet counter? Or were you a crisp type of guy like me?
A packet of Space invaders or if it was a hot day and I wanted a drink I'd buy a twist pop.
What would you buy? |

'Wet a child' get soaked ya lil shit you'll be in school this time next week.
But anyway...
Piglet crisps. They were tiny little puffed up hollow piglet crisps. 10p a pack. From around the same time as 'hedgehog' crisps |

I was a child pre decimaliation, so 10p was two shillings, two and six (half crown) was my whole weeks dinner money back then so two shillings would have bought most of the tuck shop....
Weird thing is, I can remember all that but have no memory of ever buying sweets as a child. Didn't help that we didn't have a sweet shop in the village. And even that was over a mile from home. |

"X 10 golf ball bubblegums
I forgot about those. I reckon they were from a factory who couldn't figure how to make them smoothe. "
They were very minty fresh too. |

I did a paper round and would always buy a Milky Bar on Friday when I got my wages. But you'd never get one for 10p now, thus proving tht the old days were indeed better, whatever that stupid arse Facetiming to NZ in the tv ad says. |
