So once I get my own house I really want to get a dog, clichee I know.

The dilemma I had was which dog to get and I was really split between Caucasian Mountain Shepherd and a Tibetian Mastiff.

Yesterday I looked up how much they cost and realised I will never buy one of them unless I become a millionaire...

So my question to you is, what have you recently been shocked by?

A French Bulldog but bred in Wales recently sold for £220,000 to be exported to Thailand to breed.

French bulldog pups can go for £1k-£5k.

It's ridiculous. It shocked me

The price of a hotel room at 11pm one Monday evening. We walked out and went to a realistically priced one down the road.

This

Plus, its a lovely feeling giving a dog a second (or in some cases, 3rd, 4th etc) chance.

It broke my heart, hearing some of the stories and seeing just how dogs there are in rescue centres.

I can afford one of them, the other one would never be found in a specific breed rescue centre.

But thanks for the suggestion

Doesn't matter if they cost 50p or 2.5 million you'll still be fucked off when it pisses on your bed

Seriously though do a good dead give a good home to a rescue dog. I've had dogs all my life mainly staffs as I love the breed and currently have 2. 1 full pedigree with a list of champions in her family but sadly the thickest love ball you could get. The other was rescued from from smack heads. When I got him he was so scared he wet himself if you so much as put a hand out to stroke him. 12 months on he's now by far the best trained most obedient and I think the happiest dog I've ever had.

I always wanted a husky. I saw one on a rescue site, the most beautiful white husky/malamute mix you've ever seen. Cost $200, and she was trained and neutered, and everything else. She needed a bit of extra care, being a rescue dog, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
