'Have you read my profile? Face pic or Fuck off' This was the latest beautiful message we have just had off a lady. So polite. We didn't expect that and certainly don't want to meet anyone of that calibre! Anyone else had this? Xxx |

I don't know whether I'm fortunate enough to say no or not.
If it states they want one on the profile bio I'll send one.
If not I'll try and engage a conversation first. Either way there's absolutely no need to get that sort of response.

I am the female of the couple, rare I know.... and I always read the profile. I can understand women have a lot of messages to go through it's just the manner of her response. I think it's always nice to say hello before throwing out our face picture xx |

If you were meeting someone in public you wouldn't do it with a paper bag on your head and just remove it after you've said hello, would you?
To me if you're introducing yourself it's polite to show people who you are. I always do it as an introduction |

I rarely ever just send a face pic, this is the Internet after all. Much prefer to establish conversation first then I'm more than willing to. Can't be too careful! |

Not really it isn't when she clearly stated on her profile to please send a face pic with your message. If you felt you didn't want to that's fine too but then you shouldn't of messaged her. Rather like time wasting I'd say. Ignoring a persons wishes is equally rude. Her swearing I believe was out of annoyance and frustration. Can't say I blame her. |

Doesn't really matter if someone wants to be malicious the minute you send that pic it's out there, then the fact you've indiscreetly got you dick public on your profile doesn't help your situation if you need that much discretion fully clothed bod pics would give you better professional standing and probably increase your chances on here too |

You have a statement on your profile telling men not to message you as you'll find them, so I suppose you'd be pretty pissed off if men kept messaging you as they didn't care what your profile says.
This woman may not actually be like that, but had had enough of people ignoring her profile and unfortunately (for you) she blew a fuse. I know I can get like that. I used to just delete the messages with no face pic, but they never learn. |

No. If someone asks for a face pic on their profile I either send one or don't message. I do find the response slightly funny though; it's pretty succinct. |

Sorry but yes you acted ignorant. You deliberately ignored her profile wishes and messaged anyway. That's rude and disrespectful. You wouldn't like it if you no one read your profile wishes but went on to bother you. All throughout this thread you've not once thought your actions were the wrong way to go about it. Pushing aside someones profile wishes for your own gain, is selfish. You didn't have to message her. You did though. Her response was colourful but justifiable. I wonder whether you reported her? Cant help but feel you did.  |

I don't meet couples but single men who message without a face pic have already blown it in my eyes.
The profile asks for one. So I've been ignored already. Looks like a potential selfish lover to me and therefore I won't want to even say hello.

I can understand why you got that response, I have felt like doing the same a million times after my inbox has become jammed full of messages telling me about my great profile but still no face pic! It states quite clearly that your message will be deleted unread if I don't see your face, I need to know if I am attracted to you...that is how I know, so...  it gets very frustrating! |

What if the person is verified genuine and you message first, would you not add one then, at least you know they're not fake.
Many people do have one available, but if someone contacted me I would expect a face pic first and then send one in return on the next message (if interested)
You can also tick a box that removes your pictures from the message after it's been read. |

What also concerns me here is the high level of justification for such behaviour. Equally both parties could have ignored each other. Op I am glad for the only silver lining here at least you got 100% clarity on not wanting to meet them.

I kinda get where she's coming from as it's frustrating when you specifically state the type your not into so they don't waste their time and mine and still they message... although my approach to that is to kindly explain they arnt what I'm looking for and I hope they find what they are but they need not message me again. |
