Who is having what?
I shall have a couple of crumpets with lashings of butter.
Had my glass of orange and mango juice already, off to make my coffee and put the crumpets in the toaster now.
Be right back. |

I just remembered my 8 small sausage rolls, bought for the pricely sum of 9p when I did my weekly shop the other night!
One is being heated up in the oven as I type, yummy when eaten with a sauce made out of dark soy, chilli oil, sesame oil and sesame seeds. |

A cup of joe......
As for the poached eggs, stir the boiling water (think twister) before placing the egg in the water, it keeps it together and also crack the egg on to a plate or in to a small bowl/ramekin and then pour it in, works a treat
Also must add 'wild strawberry jam'?? is it a bit leery? |

I must admit not being a fan of poached eggs, except when it is made for me!
Prefer fried (sunny side up and runny), scrambled (either the oriental way, just oil, salt and pepper, no milk or cream, heat the pan until very hot, add oil, brown a piece of garlic, then add the eggs and scramble; or the European way with cream, and slowly scramble in a pan over low heat).
I love eggs and I can't wait to go camping again in September and have fry ups in the morning! |

I believe "wild" refers to fruits grown in the wild and not cultivated in a farm. "
I preferred Views version though! |

The micro poachers are perfect. You just need to carefully pierce the yolk so it doesn't explode. |

I just poach my eggs in the microwave, in a teacup!
Give them 30 secs, then stop, then another 10 to 15 depending on if you like your yolks runny, I do!
If they look a bit under, the residual heat means they carry on cooking, simples!
No prodding or complicated stuff! |

Can always put a lid over the cup/bowl when microwaving eggs to stop them exploding, as my work colleague does whenever she cooks eggs in a cup at work. |

really crazy thought here,, what would happen if you put the egg in the water as if you were going to soft boil it for a minute or so, then tried to take the shell off.. would it be a nice formed shape because the egg by the shell has cooked? |

I too was always left defeated, when trying to poach eggs, but Jamie Olivers book saved me....follow this step by step and if you still get it wrong, I will presume, you type with a stick attached to your forehead
To cook your eggs
• Get yourself a wide saucepan and fill it with boiling water from the kettle
• Bring it to a light simmer over a medium heat, add a pinch of salt, then crack one of your eggs into a cup or small bowl and gently pour it into the water in one fluid movement
• Repeat with the rest of the eggs
• You’ll see them begin to cook immediately – don’t worry if the edges look a little scruffy
• Depending on your pan, a really soft poached egg should take around 2 minutes and a soft to firm one will need 4 minutes (it depends on the size of the eggs and whether you’re using them straight from the fridge)
• Put your bread on to toast
To serve your eggs
• To check whether the eggs are done, remove one carefully from the pan with a slotted spoon and give it a gentle push with a teaspoon
• If it feels too soft (use your instincts), put it back and give the eggs a minute or two more in the water to firm up • When they’re ready, remove them to some kitchen paper to dry off • Butter your toast, then serve the eggs on top, sprinkled with a little salt and pepper |

• If it feels too soft (use your instincts), put it back and give the eggs a minute or two more in the water to firm up • When they’re ready, remove them to some kitchen paper to dry off • Butter your toast, then serve the eggs on top, sprinkled with a little salt and pepper
