I am really upset and angry this morning to check through my "who has looked at me" section only to recognise my latest profile photo on a brand new users account!
Won't name them as that would only get me a forum ban.
I have already reported the user privately to admin, but have no idea how or when or IF it will be dealt with, and in what manner.
I am especially angry because it is a very special photo, that was taken by my swinging partner at our last meet, and holds some great memories, not to mention I really like my photo, & hate the thought of someone pretending to be me.
There is only 1 me... (My parents said "One of you is quite enough"! Lol)
How anyone has the nerve to do this is beyond me!

That is disgusting and unacceptable.
I can't believe the cheek of them.
I always worry that mine might be taken, especially the face ones I send in messages and then the member deletes their profile. |

Take it as a compliment... You're so gorgeous someone else wants to be lovely like you ... I'm sure someone has stolen my Tree |

It happened to me, the user had blocked me so I couldn't see them but another forumites reported it. I contacted admin and it was dealt with within 24 hours. It is annoying x |

It happens, I had all of mine put on a porn site and the person put my real name and fab name along with them. They were even getting my friends only pics, which resulted in me not trusting people on my friends list as he was clearly going through someone on there. In the end I deleted all pics.
Luckily I had people who were good searchers, as no reverse image search brought them up, and the porn site removed them instantly once contacted.
The only thing I think you could do is put a watermark on them. |

The perils of uploading anything to the internet. Once it's there, it's fair game sadly.
Realistically, there's very little that can be done to prevent image theft online. As a photographer, I've had it happen so many times I've given up counting. All you can do is request the image be pulled by the sites owners. Notoriously difficult with sites hosted or owned on foreign shores. |

This user didn't have me blocked, which was their foolish mistake. Yet I am unable to mail them directly as they set their filters so I am outside the age range they are seeking to meet! How very "convenient"! |

It happens a lot on here and I've had it happen to me
The perpetrator had issues with me and had set up a profile using my pics, even my face pics which at the time I only kept in private. Then chatted to guys and even sent guys to my address for meets late at night
I reported and they did get removed from the site eventually
There are some messed up people on here |

Oh my god that is frightening and horrible, so sorry to hear you had to deal with that! And I thought my problem was bad! |

I had pregnancy photos of mine stolen from a pregnancy forum many years ago and used on someone else's profile. It was infuriating. |

There isn't an excuse for it, and it does make you wonder at the state of mind of the perpetrators really.
Not so long ago I had my profile virtually copied and pasted by a chap that then went on the forum stating that he was on a mission to make fab better and what would we like to see happen. He didn't reply to my proposition of harsh punishment for plagiarists, funnily enough |

To be fair fab acted pretty fast on the situation and it was sorted real quick
The guy who turned up had even spoken to "me" earlier but obviously it wasn't me
When he tried to click on the profile he was blocked and tried to ring the number and was blocked
And he had a wasted journey which wasn't good for him
I've had my pics used a couple of times but lord knows why as they are not that great but thankfully I have fab friend all over the country do it's not long before they are recognised |

He did message me though. After I ripped him to shreds |

My advice is to add you username in some classy italics on the photo. That will put off the thieves. |

I've had it done twice, by two different profiles on here a few years back. One was a face pic profile. The other was a torso shot. A few guys alerted me to it. I understand your anger and frustration. It can be quite stressful. |

Had a few pics taken and used on occasion by different profiles! I think they just lift them from hot photos. Fortunately I'm well known enough for people to recognise them as mine and report them/let me know!
Mostly they're probably single guys trying to pass themselves off as a woman!
I'm not happy about it but I guess it's a form of flattery in a way! X |

I've had it happen, people will tell you to be flattered and take it as a compliment.
I was pissed off, sadly you can only report the profile. |

Just where I need to be. |
I have had my bum pinched once or twice. A forum user even used it as her profile picture. Fortunately a few people reported it and told me. |

we had our profile text from an old profile copied word for word by a local couple too illiterate to write their own who then winked us from it...suffice it to say, they blocked us after I'd torn them a new arsehole in a PM. They did go back to their own monosyllabic attempt afterwards as friends checked it for us... |

I've seen it happen on profiles that must be fake and puts me off having photos on this site. It's a shame that people want to spoil something good for others. |

Happened to me not long back. I reported to admin and got some other people to report the profile as well and then the picture was removed, it took a few days but was dealt with.
No need to be hurt or upset by it, when we put pictures public it's a risk we all take. |

Happened to me loads on here ... thankfully I'm quite well known on hot pics and obv with my hair of someone steals my pics there is normally someone that contacts me to tell me ... once was a TV so I took that as a compliment
It's damn annoying but unfortunately when we put ourselves out there it's going to happen
Just think that there is someone out there that so desperately want to look / be like you that it's the only way they can get a little bit attention |

You don't normally hear anything back from a report but in cases like this you will. You will get a mail saying they are looking into it and one when/ if it is resolved |
