Jimmy White the snooker player accidently knocked my drink over on the bar at a very crowded pub he was with Ronnie Wood and they bought my friend and I a drink and had a quick chat.
I did some photos at the house of the late great Sir Patrick Moore, he was a character !!
Bumped into Jack Dee in the waiting room at the Vets, his dog was poorly.
More recently I bump into Dermot O'Leary occasionally and briefly met Olly Murs.

My late father worked on the original star wars trilogy as a lighting technician and was also a storm trooper. I met all the actors and had my photo taken with most of them. I also have his storm trooper helmet in a display case signed by Carrie Fisher , Mark hamill and Harrison Ford. |

Yes, one of my best friends at school is a famous singer.
Another close friend from school has been on a tv reality Programme that has since had follow up shows and has been on this morning a couple of times as well as her local news station.
I also hung out with a now famous magician when I was around 10.
And my auntie has been on a few tv shows and in stage shows.
I have bedded a rugby league and union star who is now back to his club roots in league but no longer plays the sport.
But I'm not saying who any of them are because it would link back to me eventually. |

I used to work in the creative department for a luxury menswear company who contracted various celebs for lookbooks and ad campaigns.
Most were decent guys who freely gave their time to those of us on the shoot - the tennis player David Ferrer was a really humble guy. Robert Pattinson was nice, though not famous at the time.
However, two shoots stand out for the wrong reason. Pierce Brosnan was full of self-entitlement. By far the worse shoot was with the Chelsea football team who were absolutely horrendous. |

A couple of years ago I went to a kasabian gig with my daughter and before the gig met the whole band and then went to the after party
But I suppose it does help when your daughter is good friends with serge and hangs out with him regularly |

Kinda depends on how famous you mean.
We run comic cons, so it kinda comes with the territory. At our own events we've had as guests :
Sylvester McCoy
Patricia Quinn
Phill Martin
Martin Ballantyne
Hugh Spight
Michael Henbury...
But we've met and know loads of other people from cons run by our other organiser friends. Too many to name them all.
Many we have dined with, partied with, and so on.
It's just work mind you. You get used to it. |

I've met quite a lot of British Superbike riders, past and present, some have also raced in WSB & MotoGP. my sons name is connected with BSB, my daughter is named after a well known world class rider who was "deeply honoured we named her after him and would do his best in racing so she would be proud of her name" we have met him several times. |

Nicolas Cage and Russell Brand in town but i didn't speak to either. Mr Cage was busy talking to someone else and Mr Brand is a knob.
I did receive an award from Khalid Aziz and shook his hand when i was ten years old after winning a school project but i don't think he counts as being famous.

Years ago in a previous job I organised for the Sunderland football team to travel by train to London for an away game. Travelled with them. Peter Reid, Kevin Phillips, Micky Gray etc. Best of them all by far was Niall Quinn. Took time out to chat to me and invited me to join their card game. Top guy.
Got presented an award by Sophie Haworth once too. Jack. |

He probably wasn't setting up a cheeky meet but he was great to chat to."
I grew up a Forest fan, he lived next door to my best mates sister.
Took me back to her house when I fell off my bike.
Meeting a childhood hero, I was struck dumb

As a working musician I wasn't keen on the namedropping many of my peers partook in and I even stopped ligging - the practise of going backstage after a gig to "hang out" - so I won't go into it but yes, I've known some. At one point I was living with two folk who were both in big name bands and many of our friends were also session musicians who'd bring "famous" people round to visit.
What I can tell you is no matter how far up the ladder, musicians are not the wonderful angels with blessed qualities you like to bestow upon them. They're vain, egotistical and shallow. I know, because I was one of them. |

Met and spoke to a few famous people over the years...
Bros in a service station at the height of their fame
Simon MacCorkindale and Susan George (wow, was she pretty!)
Sylvester Stallone in a Las Vegas restaurant - cool guy.
Robbie Fowler, Steve McManaman and Dermot O'Leary at Cheltenham races.
Nigel Mansell - with and without his moustache.
Richard Herring.
Billy Dee Williams (aka Lando Calrissian) although my Mrs thought he was Carl Weathers (Apollo Creed) |
