Well isnt he a brave fellow,the raving lunatic,messing with the japs,dosent he remember pearl harbour,when before war was declared,they bombed the american,forces.Ships,planes,thousands of lives lost.So if japan joins forces with the americans,and the chinese,and russians join

I hope they blow him off the planet,hes a mean,cruel vile specimin,he has such a strict regime on north korea,have you seen how the army march,children as young as sixteen have to join his army,if your caught watching porn,its the death sentence.The people have no freedom. |

I suspect North Korea isn't going anywhere too soon as it's a proxy of China and a political buffer zone for the latter. If NK fell, the western sphere of influence would have a direct border with China via SK, I just can't see it. The only tool at our disposal is pointless sanctions.
More to the point, when is the west going to abandon her catastrophic approach to foreign policy? Where's next for the virtuous west? Pakistan has nukes. Or maybe Iran, the ones we're helping to get in the nuke club. Embarrassment after embarrassment. Trump was supposedly a promoter of isolationism yet he's already pulled the trigger in Syria prior to barking threats toward China. I think we should abandon this moral high ground that we use as justification for our military aggressions around the world as it doesn't help things and only serves to weaken our geopolitical position.

The Chinese are already his enablers and very much on side. North Korea is China's growling rottweiler that she keeps on a tight leash just outside her front door. If he falls, China lose North Korea to the West via a south korean annexation. North Korea exists for the political benefit of China.

A 'successful' ass-kicking of N Korea is effectively impossible.
Seoul, in S Koea with a population of 10 million is within bombardmnet range of N Korea conventional forces.
The US has acknolwledged it cannnot destroy all the thousands of small rocket launchers etc in a short enough time. Within a few hours you could have tens/hundreds of thousands dead in South Korea.
That is the crux if the problem and why he wasn't bombed previously.

If I'm Japanese I'd be tempted to think that's there hard luck!.
The point is he's no longer just at war with south Korea, he's threatened the Japanese for a long time and now he's getting the tools for the job, the Chinese are not exactly lovey dovey with the Japanese and have been more than willing for decades to assist in this political manoeuvring.
The Japanese are coming to terms slowly with the fact that there passiveness is not a guarantee against hostility |

Agreed, but more fool us. Some might call him ungrateful, others might wonder why we throw money at countries outside of our political sphere of influence.
Case in point, India. Britain threw over a billion pound at them in aid a while back, the very same year India was launching rockets to Mars with their space program but Britain can't afford to keep our elderly warm over winter let alone own a proper space program. |

I think it's a state ripe for collapse from the inside, though I'm dubious about the effectiveness of the sanctions western leaders keep calling for. Trump may be a lunatic - scratch that, he is a lunatic - but frankly I don't see the UN diplomacy having done anything to prevent us getting to this point. Sanctions only work if leaders care about their people and, well, duh.
I suspect China, being the key player, isn't ready for a collapse and another shift to a western style democracy on its doorstep.
Get me and my geopolitical nous, so soon after watching Celebrity Big Brother. I'm a conundrum inside an enigma wrapped in a burrito, me. |

Perhaps he read the following Wiki entry ....
"Several countries have, or claim to have, functional anti-ballistic missile systems that are designed to destroy an incoming warhead by intercepting it on its ballistic trajectory outside the atmosphere. The task is not trivial; the system in the USA has only demonstrated a ~50% success rate in recent tests".
But I have a cunning plan ,,,,,
if only 50% of anti-ballistic missiles work ,,,,,, "send two"

Kim just shows us what Melania always knew - the Donald is utterly impotent - he can't do anything about a real threat.
Kim - educated in the UK - is smart enough to know that if here didn't have weapons he would be attacked - like Gadaffi, Saddam Hussein etc. If he is to survive he cannot stop.
Unfortunately he could vaporise south Korea and Japan pretty much instantly! The Americans have an awful lot of weapons that either don't work -as they have never had to be used.
I just hope there is another domestic disaster so that the little neon orange pensioner doesn't get to use his catch phrase "you're fired" |

As a species we have evolved at a rate not often seen in nature .....
We deserve the oppertunity prove our self worth ..... but unlike many other species we have developed willingness to kill each-other ...
Most other species who kill follow the rules of the food chain .....

Cats will kill or maim anything and most of the animals we have - especially in the uk - have been selectively bread over thousands of years - don't see many of our native bears or wolves around today do we - do hate it when people use nature as an excuse - used to live 5 doors down from david attenborough when growing up and he would have a far more succinct answer than I do for anyone spouting off about natural selection. |
