China are trying to calm the situation down.If things carry on the way they are going in the Korean peninsula it won't be long before it becomes another theatre of conflict to add to the list  |

That's a bit of a misnomer, the Japanese are 8th on the military budget list only just behind the UK at 42 billon a year or 1% of gdp |

Fair enough, but under the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan they're not really supposed to get frisky with their forces unless its supporting or supported by the US, which kind of restricts anything they can do in the area. |

Just sabre rattling that's all, bet North Korea want sanctions reduced or lifted. So, if they have something they can bargain with to stop doing which they don't really need anyway, such as missile capability, they can bargain gracefully without losing too such face.

Difficult to know what is in the mind of some psychopathic despot, except that he's only in it for himself. He's strengthening and puffing himself up, meaning he's after something... It may just be some trade or expansion of something. He probably also enjoys playing Trump and the world for personal amusement and gratification, the likes of which we won't generally appreciate. |

I wish that was the case, unfortunately Korea is run by a fruitcake. He has been offered a lifting of all sanctions, IF he scraps his nuclear weapons program, but he thinks that he NEEDs to become a Nuclear Super Power to be able to stand up to the US. |
