I don't think it's any easier to meet people in Edinburgh than Glasgow to be honest. What are you going to do in a year if you've still not met anyone, move to Aberdeen? Bit of a drastic move! |

"Maybe you find the girl first...
Then worry about the geography later "
The whole idea of moving is to find mixed people who is interested. Geography is not what I worried about. Just thought it would be easier to meet someone in Edinburgh than Glasgow ( most people moved to Edinburgh and most people born in Glasgow type thing)

The cost of living is higher in Edinburgh. Probably the highest in Scotland with the exception of some of Aberdeen. Glasgow is just as diverse and welcoming.
Still can't get around why you would move first. Surely reaching out to people from the central belt first. Maybe try a dating website and see if you can find a connection with someone. Everything else will just fit into place.
It's not all flowers and free prescriptions here :D |

"It's hard to find anyone anywhere. But if u are looking for a relationship there may be better ways than fab"
Thanks. No offense to people here. I am not looking for a relationship here. Just trying to get an opinion.
Thanks

Thanks bud. I am on dating site but it is hard to connect to one. Just thought of moving to Edinburgh feels good as it seems lot of activities. But you are right in what you say. Appreciated. |

Having spent in both cities I do prefer Edinburgh. Its got a younger and more friendly freed(probably cause the students and tourists).
Not sure its any easy to meet someone there than it is in any city. |

Isn't there an old expression about the two cities: "I'd rather go to a Glasgow funeral than an Edinburgh wedding!"
Of so and true, it would seem better to stay in Glasgow.
