Very mixed memories for me. Good and bad teachers. Loving playing sports and hating all the essays and exams. Whoever said school days are the happiest/best of your life, I ain't so sure. Not the worst either though. |

"I hated pretty much all of it. I was constantly bullied.
That's so sad "
It was shit, but it's shaped the determined and successful person I try to be now. While my nemesis from back then enjoys his 6x6 room with a view of bars. |

I wonder if they actually mean the time on school or more the age you are if that makes sense ie long summer holidays, no cares etc |

I was an absolute shite at school ....
I learned more about life in the first year after I left school than during my entire scholastic life..
Since leaving school I have achieved way beyond the expectation of any of my teachers and I adamantly maintain that no-one should be allowed to teach without having first spent time working in a none educational environment..... |

I loved my school days looking back it was much more of a carefree and simpler time for me.
The coco cola yoyo craze, school disco's, Andy Crane and edd the duck, watching neighbours after school, He-Man and the masters of the universe and live and kicking at the weekend, and SMTV Live.
Ahh Happy days |

It was fun all the way...from watching the music teacher going up in flames(he hadn't put his craft fag out properly when he put the tab end in his pocket. Having a blast trying to catch the piglets when they were running riot around the school...fun days |

Hated most of my teachers, and they hated me too, I was the kid that would question everything, unfortunately my school was staffed mostly by old school teachers who wanted to turn up, get paid go home, teachers who would create lessons that were engaging were few and far between.
One particular teacher made it her mission to make my 5 years of high school as miserable as possible from putting me on report for swearing (I was reading of mice and men out loud, and she decided that I emphasised the word bastard) to blabbing to other kids in her classes that I was in care.
Not to mention that there were big chunks of school missed because of strike action |

Loved mine. Absolutely bloody loved them. If there are books to be consumed, interesting people to coax ideas out of each other and learning - I am a Happy Heels. If I ever win the lottery, I am diving straight back into academia (I am also creating Heels Island, but that's a whole different thread). |

I loved my school days. Had a great group of friends. Always having a laugh with them in school, and break times and dinner times were spent playing football on the school field, unless it snowed in winter time then it would be snowball fights in the playground. Loved playing for the school football team too. Nothing but happy memories. |

Honestly, if I look back now, I just see it as a wasted opportunity. If only I had applied myself like all my teachers said I should do, who knows what I could of achieved. |

Hated first and middle school due to bullies as I didn't talk like them. By upper school I bloomed and was popular and really enjoyed my time, I just wish I had paid more time to my studies and less to boys!

I loved school. Was at an all girls grammar school and loved the challenge of being with really brainy people. Really made me up my game. |

Awful. I was a shy, scruffy geek (before the word was invented). I was picked on and people mimicked my lisp. That me is still in there, but I'm a happy confident old me now. |

Bullied at one, great time at another. We moved just before the prelims for my 'O' grades, worst possible time - had been doing Macbeth, they were doing Hamlet - but I turned my grades around.
I was going to get an air rifle for Christmas but because we moved in Dec, Christmas was postponed. My new friends all played instruments so I asked for a guitar instead and it changed my life. I could've been a sniper on a roof, so phew. |

Loved school. Only have happy memories of it. Had amazing friends which I still have today
Best memory is probably when my friend tried to steal the school bus. He only got to the end of the road and he bumped the kerb, but it was so funny thinking we were going on a road trip. Still laugh about it to this day and he's still one of my best friends
Worst memory when I got called into the office and my mum and mums pal was there and getting told my best pal had died |
