Heading back south yesterday I stopped at the services at Carlisle, got myself a Costa and logged into Fab on my mobile for a browse, a few minutes later I got a message from a T girl asking if I was on the services as my location stated I was within a 1/4 of a mile of her.
I said Yes I was but I was heading home, she asked if I could help her out as she was in her car fully dressed as a T girl but too embarrassed to get out in public, it transpired she was on the other side of the motorway services so I went over, the oil light had come on in the car and there was no spare oil in the car for a top up.
I walked over to the garage and got some oil and topped the motor up, checked the car and it was fine.
It was her first outing dressed and she was heading to a party.
The Fab app worked great yesterday and helped someone out.

"If the oil light has come on because of low oil then the damage is already done engine will be knackered.
I said that "
The oil light means low oil pressure often caused by low oil level. Doesn't necessarily mean any damage has been done if attended to quickly |

For it to get low...there is normally some damage to the engine to start with.
By the time the oil light comes on there is less then a quarter of the require oil in the engine.
So I think it's safe to say some further damage will be done |

I also owned a brand new escort diesel where the oil light flashed on in the first 6000 miles. That car went on to do over 170,000 miles before I sold it on so in my vast experience of old cars and high mileage motoring I stridently beg to differ |

"The moral of this story is,,,,,,,keep your car well maintained.

I thought the moral was 'if a single guy gets a message out of the blue, you might get to check out someone's dipstick!

Really good to read the original message. Well done.
Although I'm absolutely fine going out and about in female mode now, I remember only too well when I was terrified to go out of the door. Times have changed dramatically in the last few years, I'm glad to say, as I've never had any nasty reactions and have always been treated like any genetic woman in all sorts of situations.
