With series 7 nearly at an end and a year long wait for series 8 what is everybody's predictions as to who sits on the iron throne once the blood is spilled and the dust has settled?
I think it's too obvious to be Jon or dany

Sansa is getting the throne, she has learnt from the best Little finger, Cersei, Tywin, Tyrion and have been to all the important lands and possibly houses also she is younger than Cersei. The witch prophecy predicted a young queen to cast Cersei away which I would assume Cersei thought the younger queen was Margaery but as it turns out not so. The second likely queen to cast her down seems like Danny but that is too obvious and now Danny seems much more occupied with the white walkers which I think they will kill her. although, that does not explain why we saw a dragon over kings landing and burnt down throne room. Back to Sansa, with the help of Little finger, she might take the throne after everyone kill each other. |

The answer won't come, there's a new George RR Martin GOT book due next year.
The shows writers will have anticipated this and will have left the ending open for a return when fans clamour for it after reading the next book. |

They have said this won't happen and they are only interested in doing a spin off. The spin off will not follow on or be a side story to thrones, /so only leaves prequel!! |

Yes but they're not aware of that at the minute and its something that seems too obvious and has no originality. as they've both been good characters in the show, it seems something that is obvious to happen, but not something I want to happen. |
