Wink whats the use?

I received a wink from a couple two weeks before but the message that I had sent to their inbox is still unread! How to get in touch with them other than sending another wink back?! Do people care the winks?

Winks have been seen as old hat since two weeks after they were a thing, and there have been posts about them every week since then
