For me, Kubrick's adaptation of The Shining is still hard to top. Not seen the trailer for IT but I rarely watch films anymore, I might try it though.

Personally, I have always found adaptations of King's work generally rather tame.

( I say 'generally' because the original TV version of Salem's Lot left me sleepless as a youngster, and still stands up to scrutiny)

I do think that Tim Curry's Pennywise hasn't aged well, so I'm looking forward to see how this goes.

I thought that pet semetary wasn't too bad but certainly didn't frighten the hell out of me like I was told so hoping this will
