Took the four terrors and the other half tree climbing today, all went fantastically, until the branch broke and 5 hit the deck ice packs and sweets all round

How's everyone else's broods this summer?

Being a typical teenager! Mood swings, grunting and slamming doors.

Can't say I've seen much of him over the holidays apart from when he's hungry.

Still waiting for 4 dry days to go camping. Looks like we might as well give up with only two weeks left.

The rain this year has been persistent to say the least

Mmmm I'm sure I have said this many times, also threatened to remove light bulbs as they can only seem to operate switches into the on position

Surely it would be easier for you to flick off the switches for the lighting circuits on the main fuseboard?

Greater Manchester

After a couple of weekends camping with both kids, I've had a tonne of home stuff to do.

Today we headed to the library which went really wrong. Both kids bolted in different directions. The smallest pulled books out everywhere while the eldest wandered into the adult section. Then I realised I had brought the wrong library card with me.

I had one sympathetic look and the rest were judging eyes. Yep. I'm staying in for the rest of the holidays.

Little one escaped out the front door and went round to his best friends house next door, leaving the front door wide open. Scared the shit out of me.

Big one has been on national citizen service and has come back with wanderlust wants to go off travelling when she finishes sixth form, and asked if she and her friends can have my dad's house for a couple of months to "just chill in the Caribbean" Erm...

No! Lol

Teenage grunting, hiding in their rooms, staring at screens, only emerging for food...

Roll on September...

We've had lots of fun, with a little minor squabbling between siblings.
