What do people prefer as a way of first contact. A cheeky wink to test the water or a flirty message?

Either, it sparks an interest and opens conversation. If I had to choose I'd go for a message every time but a wink is a nice cheeky flirt IMO

We welcome both ...... but it can get really frustrating when we send a message to someone that has winked only to get 1 word replies or even ignored

I think it is rude if you don't reply in full, even if it's a polite no thanks

I only ever respond to a wink with a wink back, so a message is better, and before anyone says anything, i always try to answer all messages...even to say no thanks...unless they are stupid/crude of course! We get a hard time on here for "never replying", i always do, its only manners!

Either is fine. Some people like a wink back then message us. It's frustrating getting a wink, returning it then nothing

A wink can be read as being lazy by some.

We tend to have a glance but don't view unless a message follows on.

Even then, we wish people would read our profile before doing either as getting fed up of denting egos.

We try to reply to all messages even if it's just a 'no thanks'.

We do not however reply to all winks.

Neither tends to get answered if "cold" sent and unsolicited, so doesn't matter much really!

I look sporadically, sometimes there is a little gem in there and I think "oh eye candy" but then I think too lazy to message so off you trot

I'm too lazy to message do I wink.
