Thanks in advance! " You,ll usually get back what you pay for as far as quality goes saying that I won,t pay for any anti virus but have the free versions and find the one I,m on at the moment good, you,ll get all the sales talk on how good they are of course they,ll have extra,s and they should have to, I,m happy with a ordinary laptop almost 6 years old now so the price will be more now I took cover out for the first 4 years not now thou but its still good, I,ve no Idea how chrome book operates but personally not for me. |

We use a Macbook air. Mostbestesetfantabulous computer we've ever owned. W have had it two years now and it two years it's never crashed, froze or got a virus ( I bet I've just jinxed it now)
It's super fast and absolutely tiny. It took a while to get used to though as the operating system is very different. |

I'm switching to a Chromebook to give myself a break from Windows. I'd get a newer model that has android app support and a touchscreen to give you more usability |

chrome books are incredibly limited and designed to compensate by always being online.
are you going to always be on wifi?
300 should get you a pretty decent i3 laptop in the 15" form factor though
