I suppose it's my own fault for putting it on my status but I've had 3 guys now who I've previously been said no to after speaking to them on kik or even meeting one socially, who have then taken it upon themselves to try and hurt me with game of thrones spoilers.
Last straw was late last night had another guy message me on kik saying there had been a death and told me who or what had died.
Think it's an absolute dick move. |

I know, I shouldn't have put it as my status that I was going to try and stay up to watch it at 2 but it's just mean spirited to then message me a spoiler. I've blocked now but it's too late when the first line of a message pops up on your phone! |

I'm knackered because I can't trust my social circle and online friends (some are American) to not drop spoilers, hence I've had 3 hours sleep, but it was totally worth it |

What's an ass lok?
Is it a wrestling maneuver?
Isnt it the same maneuver used by welsh men to do things to a sheep?"
and what do you call it when you eat it? |

It's just a TV show. Not the end of the world really. I never understand why people get so worked up over spoilers. If you are that concerned about them then stay up and watch it live or find the hacked episodes online. |

Because it's unnecessary and irritating. I once had someone tell me what happened in a book I was reading. Kinda ruined that book for me. |

Because we don't want to know what's going to happen. I don't understand why people need to spoil it for others. Do they get a nasty little thrill out of it? |

8 don't know, I don't do it but I don't get all prescious about if people tell me on purpose it by accident. Like I said.... Not the end of the world really. Plus usually it's one event they tell you, not the journey to how it happens. |

I don't get precious about it, but it does piss me off when a wanker does it on purpose. No normal person wants to know the end of a film or book before they go to the cinema or buy a book. |

But when you've been watching something for 6 years and know all the characters it doesn't really matter how it happens, just knowing someone's going to die that's the whole episode spoilt then. |

I don't even think the post is so much about game of thrones, but about why people feel the need to be spiteful and ruin something someone is looking forward to, like a lot of guys hate to hear football scores until match of the day,
Unfortunately people take great pleasure in ruining other people's fun |

Did I say it was only the end of the world that annoys me? I don't recall I did. I simply pointed out that being told a fictional character dies in a fantasy programme is not, in any imaginable way, the end of the world.
I just don't understand how people can get so invested in a TV show to get so worked up about spoilers. |

Some people take great pleasure in pissing others off with spoiler alerts, happens across all social media.
You've turned them down and they've decided in turn to be spiteful, funny how all 3 did it though.
Lesson learned ~ don't put status updates like that & maybe start blocking after rejecting. |

I personally watch game of thrones because it is pure escapism, I can get away from the dreariest days, and escape to a world full of dragons and zombies, knights and warriors, it's good for the soul.
Finding anything that makes you happy for an hour or two has value.
So yeah. It might be a first world problem to some, but ruining something that helps people with real problems is a big deal |

There is. You might not agree but there definitely is something dramatic about creating posts to moan about the fact that you are pissed off that someone told you a character died on a TV programme.
It's the same as those who get heavily invested in corrie or love island or big brother. |

I don't see anyone acting like it's the end of the world either.
You're right of course.... Just a bit too much drama llama for me
There's nothing dramatic about being pissed off that someone spoiled a show for you. "
Exactly. It wouldn't matter if it was a fictional show, a book, a rugby or football match that you'd recorded and didn't want to know the score beforehand. Only an arsehole would give the ending or score away when it was not asked for. |

"I know who dies next week....................
I know who shot JR
What about JFK? " open your eyes wider. Kennedy was killed by his own driver plus Armstrong never landed on no fucking moon either.... |

A film starring George Clooney has a major plot change part way through. Luckily I saw it without knowing this change (it's a great film by the way). The last two times it's been on, the tv listings give it away! |

"It's just a TV show. Not the end of the world really. I never understand why people get so worked up over spoilers. If you are that concerned about them then stay up and watch it live or find the hacked episodes online.
No it's not the end of the world. You're a lucky person if it's only the end of the world that would annoy you!
Did I say it was only the end of the world that annoys me? I don't recall I did. I simply pointed out that being told a fictional character dies in a fantasy programme is not, in any imaginable way, the end of the world.
I just don't understand how people can get so invested in a TV show to get so worked up about spoilers.

I actually agree with what you deleted
Dammit.... Wasn't quick enough "
