So there you are, having a heated discussion with a woman on the forum, when you hear the cliperty clop of white knight on his steed he claims that you are being a sexist or whatever but let's look at this logically, any man that buts in to an argument to defend a lady and her honour, is the true sexist, do you really think that women are so feeble and weak that they need you to defend them? Or are you just trying to get in her knickers?
I'm not talking about if a guy is giving a woman pure shit and being abusive, I'm talking about a run of the mill disagreement.
If you think that women need a man to defend them, you obviously have never had an argument with a woman, it's like fighting the mountain, you can win, but underestimate her and lose your footing once and she will take you apart, women retain information better than men in my experience, so there's no need for you to act all brave and jump to a woman's defence, especially by shiting all over men just because you have full balls  |

I hear what you're saying and it's an interesting point.
But like all forums the point is to debate and be inclusive allowing all to join in? So if I agree with the ladies perspective I will intervene and add my point?
However; I accept there are some sycophantic sorts...but that's not exclusive to the male species alone! Some will do anything to point out a potentially uncool perspective these days.
We value diversity? Good...lets value diversity of opinion too then? |

I don't like horses in the real world they scare.
I don't like high horses some people here ride around on.
I don't the horses these hero's ride round on defending the women who, as you mention are more than capable of looking after themselves.

You can normally tell the white knights because their comments are less to do with the thread and more kiss-arsey and normally to those ladies that come across more vulnerable and susceptible to such behaviour. |

There are some white knights on here that will defend a woman even when it's purely obvious she is/in the wrong

I agree with your first point but not your second - I get the occasional flattery white knight attempt rather than a simple agreement/expansion of my point and when it happens it is usually so transparent it makes me cringe. I don't think I come across as vulnerable or susceptible to such behaviour to make them think that I would be fawning at such an attempt. |

This was exactly my thoughts reading the post. If I agree with another woman against what is being posted, I'd never be accused of it.

Yes. I did say normally. There are those that will white knight all and sundry and there are those that have taken a shine to particular ladies and try to get noticed that way. |

So basically, agree with the man or you're a 'white knight'?
What if I believe that you're simply wrong? Forums are a place for sharing points of view and discussion, perhaps rather than shouting white knight at anyone with an opposing viewpoint, it would be better to not take it personally enough to care? |
