My health has been a bit up and down over the last 6 months (hormonal). One side effect of this is books on my inner thighs and buttocks and chest.
Atm they aren't too bad but the scars are awful. Puts me off meeting. Its not a hygiene thing but im sure people would think they look dirty...and not in a good way |

Sorry to read this. Hormones can wreak havoc on your body, I know, having struggled with this since I was 15.
Have you seen a dermatologist about them? To confirm it's boils and not another condition ie hidradenitis suppurativa or diabetes related? I know how painful they can be as a sufferer of hs. Generally speaking though a lot of people aren't bothered by scars though it may be wise to warn potential meets if you have an active one.
Best wishes and if you need to chat pm me. |

They were triggered by a change on hormonal contraception. Have never had them before. Due to age and other health issues very little is suitable for me.
A friend who has HS swears by turmeric tablets to keep the outbreaks down. For her it is armpits and groin that are the worst.

It could be hidradenitis suppurativa. I've got it and it affects my groin, inner thighs, armpits and under my boobs. Occasionally I get them in other areas.
Have a look on google for the HS trust, I'm not allowed to share a link. There is loads of information on their website and they have a page on Facebook too.
Approximately a third of people who have it is caused by hormones, mine is.
There are many treatments but no cure. The only thing I have found that helps mine is to take a zinc supplement. |
