No not looking for one

But the new Mummy film with Tom cruise in it, has anyone watched it

If you haven't watched it yet highly recommend you don't unless you like that type of film

Reminded me of his mission impossible films

So I'm giving the film a thumbs down

It was a mess. My mum could write a better plot and structured narrative.

I saw the reviews that tanked it, was enough to put me off.

I liked it but I haven't seen the mission impossible films, I saw it in 3D.

So it's a thumbs up from me....

Tom Cruise films recently are a bit 'meh'.

I don't rush out to see them

I don't like him anyway, but had to watch it as I liked the previous mummy films. He ruined it and I didn't like the plot at all x

I watched it, didn't think too much about it and let it wash over me.. a pure escapism film and just typical Cruise with him dashing around.

He won't be doing that for a while after doing his ankle in recently..

I like Tom so i'll watch it. I've watched some pretty crud films in my lifetime so one more won't matter. But forewarned is forearmed

Not seen it yet but effectively it's a rework from the old 30's movie. They are doing a whole genre of them including Frankenstein the invisible man etc.

I always feel with those Mummy films they could have gone for bigger scares but they were trying to appeal to the widest audience.

I'd probably agree with that score. It's not a film that will sit in my DVD rack.

I don't think the plan is to have Tom in them all ... I hope not anyway... but yeah I remember reading about bringing new life to all these old horror films and putting them in a kind of connected universe like Marvel and DC Comics have done with their Superheroes.

Godsdamnit!

You said "Mummy" and Tom Cruise so NATURALLY my first instinct was to think,

"WOW... that's an interesting artistic departure for him... I thought someone more like Michael Fassbender would be into that sort of artcore softporn drama... well I'd definitely pay to see HIM get it on with a sexy older woman who's into age play with hot young thing..."

Then I read the ensuing comments and responses.

*sigh*

#fail

Saw it a few days ago. Amazing that Tom Cruise has hardly aged since Top Gun.

I'm a big fan of Rocky Horror and noticed a few subtle references to it hidden away. Most notably when Dr Jekyll says (twice) I would like, if I may..." Couldn't resist shouting out "to take you on a strange journey"

He even pauses long enough to get it in with ease, then gives an odd smile before continuing.

"has Tom cruise ever done a good movie ??"

That depends on whether you like his movie genre or not.

I quite like brainless, suspend reality, action types so find the MI franchise entertaining, along with 'Edge of Tomorrow', and a few of his 80's/90's pic's.

Terrible film, should have had more of the mummy in it, and maybe mor if Russell Crow as Jekyll and Hyde, just a muddled film, on the plus side his sidekick had all the good lines
