Me and my partner (male working partner) have recently been discussing the idea of employing an office junior / admin assistant to help with the paperwork side of things. Whilst this being a genuine thing, it would be lovely to have a bit of eye candy at the same time. Apply within lol x

I can't mate as I'm not a junior anymore but the extra money would come in handy

I'll be honest, I took this thread as tongue in cheek which I'm guessing was the intention. But when a straight male is looking for eye candy, its pretty obvious its a female

Employment discrimination laws would certainly cover it, and possibly ahead of sex discrimination, as it would sex discrimination would suggest favouring a woman over a man for the job, whereas employment discrimination would cover favouring ANY person (regardless of gender) for a job based on how they look !!

Either way think we agree that the original post is unsavoury to say the least!!

I think he was replying to the OP but quoting you.....I dunno, some days I just get really sick of the vulgar and disrespectful attitudes towards women I see displayed day after day, and I'm not even a bloody feminist!

It's one thing to sexualise people on a swingers site, but it's all this constantly walking around thinking about who's got wet knickers in Sainsbury's, or who's full of cum this morning, or whether the fact she looked at me means she wants to suck my dick.....NO, just get on with your work between 9-5 ffs!!

There's sexual content and sexual content though isn't there? And for what it's worth I happen to agree with Frisky Mare that some of the threads posted (and it's largely by single male profiles sadly) along the lines of this one and the kind of thing she listed are unsavoury at best.

I also find it funny how when dissenters to threads like this raise their heads and voice an opinion the "can't you take a joke or see the humour" comments are reeled out.

In this instance the OP stated "whilst this is a genuine thing" and then went on to mention "eye candy" suggesting it wasn't entirely all a joke.

Whilst I'm all for discussing sex and sexuality here, after all that's why we're all here, when it descends to playground level childishness, it's not for me.

P.S. No suits of armour were donned in the making of this post!!

Well it is utterly repulsive sometimes, makes them feel physically sick about going to work, terrified of losing their job if they complain, even ruining their career. It really can be no laughing matter, there is a thin grey area between a little jovial frisson in the workplace and something ugly or oppressive.

If we were all to be totally politically correct then we shouldo also campaign for bans on make up, tight, sexy, or revealing clothing etc fake tans hair dies etc so looks and appearance should never taken into any equation. Razors should also be banned so men would all look similiar...would the world go for it ? Nope the post may of been a bit of light hearted banter so why some folks go off on one here I don't know..thought fab was meant to be fun..

I know and a few more as welm but hate the forum police..the politically correct. life should be fun not at the expense of others in any shape way or form we agree with...but too many spend time looking for failings and faults instead of looking how to enhance and enjoy...

I agree but a forum is for open comments and some people can't see what fun is. I took it as a joke and not serious BUT sexism in the workplace is still alive and breathing in some organisations believe me it is!

It's easy to see it as "a bit of fun" now (although personally I'd disagree that it's an appropriate thing to joke about) the thread has run to a few posts but if, as I did, you joined the thread when it was just the original post in isolation - then it was not clear it was tongue in cheek or witty banter or however else you want to dress it up - it's only since it's been skewed that way as a result of people expressing an opinion disagreeing with the OP that it's apparently "just a bit of fun".

To be honest even if it were intended as a bit of fun - it's the kind of "fun" that I thought had died out with On The Buses and the like

...Up on the Downs

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.....

I just imagined some poor kid thinking that she'd got a great little job, only to find out she was chosen purely to titivate when the lewd comments start. Bleugh.

Attitudes matter, and ' just a bit of fun' often reveals what those attitudes are. Most threads I just ignore it -occasionally I decide not to. Maybe the OP thinks nothing of the sort. But then maybe he does.

Yes, as soon as you start to think about what such jokes might represent they get less funny.

"Me and my partner (male working partner) have recently been discussing the idea of employing an office junior / admin assistant to help with the paperwork side of things. Whilst this being a genuine thing, it would be lovely to have a bit of eye candy at the same time. Apply within lol x"

I don't see much on here which looks like it's a joke apart from the apply within.

To put a not so serious slant on a reply as that's already been done very well by some, surely appoint someone who can do a great job and has credentials suitable for the post. It's that simple! If you want 'eye candy' use porn on your lunch break!

This is wrong on so many levels!!!

Starting with employment discrimination law "

I've always wondered about employment discrimination laws... surely by having interviews you are being discriminating against every candidate you interview that doesn't get the job... it's not ok to discriminate by gender but it is ok to discrimate because someone is a thick shit...

I can do shorthand and when I first worked in an office my boss would ask me to come in for a bit of dic

He also used to ask me if I had anything wet and warm for him when he wanted a cuppa.

I read it as a joke and not serious, a friend of mine years ago used to say when she got older she would like to work on an office and get sexually harassed by the boss...... I'm sure she was also joking!

"It's talking about sexual content with people who are trying to go about their business or earn their living - that's inappropriate IMO."

It is better said and not thought, than it is thought but not said.

While I am pretty sure the OP was making a pretty bad joke, and I often cringe at the posts on here frequently but not always by single men. The startling thing is the inability of many to differentiate between serious and piss take.

This is a sexual site, and sexual thoughts do cross people's minds that have to be contained in real life, so may leak out here sometimes.

In the real world sexy undressed women sell cars, holidays etching. While sexy undressed men apparently sell soda.
