The land of grey peas and bacon

Had this discussion at work after my twat of a landlady decided to give me 2 months notice to move out as she is wanting to sell the property... Now I would love to buy at this point as all I have had is nightmare landlords...

However they are not making it easy for first time buyers at the moment..

My sympathy to you. Thats why I hate renting. Have you looked at shared ownership, some associations give preference to key workers. Good luck.

But you could visit the council and get yourself registered with them especially if you have received an NTQ ie Notice to Quit. You would get full maximum points for being homeless but check first about going to them as I did speak to someone who went to the Council too early and they wouldn't help them

little house on the praire

They dont make it easy it all, but if you can afford it it is an excellent time to buy. House two doors up from me is on the market for 50k less than it was on the market before, also repossessed houses are cheaper to buy and very sad as it is there a lot of them around at the moment

However, not a good time to sell grrrrrrrrrrr
