I can't be the only one that's in awe of military aircraft?

Especially the Hercules and chinooks how? How do they fly weighing what they do and with 10k plus of cargo just how

I prefer the warbirds of World War 2. You can't beat the sound of a Spitfire on full power with the supercharger whining. It's the best sounding piston engine ever made bar none

Basically it's the banoulli effect of airflow over the cross section of the wing and of course Newton's third law.

I didn't think you meant that though, sorry couldn't resist.

I'm lucky I live near Leeds Bradford airport and get to see planes all the time (passenger plane) every now and then I get to see the Canadian airforce come into land,I'm also lucky that my job allows me to see it coming into land on its flight path and as its about to land

I've been lucky enough to go in one a lot in the past. I still really enjoy watching them flying though.

We love hearing and watching the chinooks. Also the Hercules too !

One we do and don't like to see is the air ambulance. Good to see it flying but mixed feelings as it's obviously been called out etc.
