chatting last night with workmates at a leaving do - one of our previous staff ladies literally upped and went to middle of nowhere - just wanted a complete new start - not sure im brave enough but often tempted - just go where no bugger knows you and start again |

I had a friend who had an American dad he never really met. When he turned 18 he went to the states to meet him for two weeks. Met a girl there. Came back for a month and then moved out there and married her! |

when i watch home or abroad - or home in the sun type tv programmes i often look at a small house or flat in spain or france and think - one day id like to just go |

I did it last year and have to say although it's hard to do and I felt lost for a while I love the new life I'm building I guess it's the question of whether your running to something or from something.
Personally life was rock bottom for me I'd lost my job and in turn my home my kids weren't happy with school etc so we had nothing but hopes for a better life and opportunities! |

my kids are grown up - one lives abroad anyway - the other with her bf in their own place so just me to think of really - too many friends id miss |

I did it OP. I am here in Ras Al Khaimah a year and a half and left a past behind in the U.K.. This was an opportunity I couldn't turn down. My younger brother past away in my absence and my mum developed a tumor which has been removed. I fly back when I can and I don't know how much longer I will be out here, but I ask myself everyday was the opportunity worth it. I would say if there is no one that matters then a new adventure is always good. Each to there own. |

I moved to Bristol 2 weeks ago on whim as my friend was moving here for work. I quite like it but not sure how long I'll stay. Im very much one for following my urges. |

I'd love to. We moved two years ago and it was a fresh start. My boys are settled and so we have to remain here for another 5 or 6 years at least. However one day we will get on the plane and it won't just be a holiday |
