An old pensioner never slowed down on a give way as I was crossing. (Was wearing a high visibility vest) I went straight over the bonnet. Lucky I'm agile on my feet managed to take the impact at 20mph ish. Wouldn't be so lucky if she was speeding! 
Didn't cause a scene though as I gave her the benefit of the doubt. It was very early she may not have expect me to cross.
Still don't excuse it I guess.

Yeh she was shaking terribly couldn't get her words out. I lost my nan several months back and all I could do was hope she was okay lol. She said she was going down the post office for her morning paper & asked if I was reporting her.. by that point I felt like that was enough for her she was pretty shook as it was. |

hard one to call - but really should have reported and some injuries are hidden - you have no comeback if you didnt report |

That's very true! I could have she was just so innocent But I'm sure it was a lesson enough for her.. I'm okay I'm walking talking a lot more fortunate than some in this world   |

That's the thing gonna be a lot more careful from now on. Can't expect other drivers to be like normal people. God knows how she managed to not see me I was in clear view lol.  |

this is why you should have reported - not much else goin on - you were very visible and oap didnt see the obvious - tough love required before the next person gets hurt |

I never assume anyone is going to stop. They could be looking right to see if there's a car coming, to give way to. If not, then I'm toast. |

You crossed on a give way ..as in a junction ......
Im glad your ok ..... but next time cross in a safer place ....
Yesterday a guy crossed over on a crossing in front of my car and a bus coming the other way ....the traffic lights on the crossing were on green ... and he still ambled across the road.....its not always the traffic thats at fault ....
Did you check the elderly lady was ok too . |

yeh junction just off a normal road onto a main road. I was more concerned about her cause her reaction made me pity her straight away as she was shaking & couldn't get her words out. I made sure she was okay to drive and where she was going and too be more careful in the mornings. She seemed very genuine a very very big error for her. X |

Glad your ok. I noticed today in city centre they have taken out a zebra crossing and replaced it with a pelican crossing (outside the litten tree) it's amazing how many people walked out in front of my car not realising it's no longer a zebra crossing there will be an accident there soon! |
